More waterboarding mush, this time from Rudy

Rudy Giuliani has now joined Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton and AG nominee Michael Mukasey in a state of mushy avoidance on the question of whether waterboarding is torture, and whether or not it should be allowed in interrogations.

He did criticize the view that sleep deprivation is torture -- "on that theory, I’m getting tortured running for president of the United States. That’s plain silly..." -- but as for waterboarding, according to this story, he said that "the way the practice had been described in news reports — 'particularly in the liberal media' — he did not believe it should be allowed. But he expressed doubts about whether it had been described accurately." Transcript here.

Waterboarding suspected terrorists is a tough question, but is that a reason people who want to run the country and make the call should be allowed to not answer? Here's a clip (from a "liberal media" source) of someone being waterboarded:
