Albany DA David Soares has concluded an investigation, finding no wrongdoing by Spitzer -- it sounds like he's a little more exculpatory than Cuomo. Press conference and release of report tomorrow. Here's the statement:
“This Office has concluded its inquiry in relation to the collection and distribution of information regarding Senator Bruno’s use of state aircraft. We will be issuing a formal report on Friday.
“This Office has found no illegal conduct. To the contrary, we found that the Governor, his staff, and the New York State Police were acting within their authority in compiling and releasing documents to the media concerning the use of state aircraft.
“The Governors Office and the New York State Police have cooperated fully with our review, including a voluntary appearance by the Governor. In addition, they provided all documents and testimony we requested and needed to complete our review.
“There will be a press conference tomorrow morning at 11:00 A.M. at the Albany County Judicial Center, located at 6 Lodge Street, Albany, NY, to discuss the findings of our review.”
