Rudy Giuliani was in the middle of giving a speech to the National Rifle Association today when he decided it would be a good time to answer a phone call from his wife, Judith.
“This is my wife calling, I think,” Giuliani said, interrupting his remarks to the powerful gun-rights group to pull his cell-phone out of his pocket. “Hello dear. I’m talking to the members of the NRA right now. Would you like to say hello?”
He then proceeded to carry on a short conversation, right there at the podium while a packed ballroom clearly heard his side of the call. “I love you and I’ll give you a call as soon as I’m finished, OK?” he said. “OK, have a safe trip, bye-bye. Talk to you later dear. I love you.”
At that, Giuliani hung up, drawing some scattered applause. “It’s a lot better that way” – drawing a few chuckles from the crowd with a remark that made it sound like Mrs. Giuliani doesn’t like ending up in voice mail.
“I mean, this is one of the great blessings of the modern age, being always available. Or maybe it isn’t, I’m not sure,” Giuliani said, laughing. And with that, he picked up where he left off, going back into his remarks about how a recent court case showed the importance of Second Amendment gun rights.

Giuliani belongs to the same party I support but receiving a personal telephone is completely inappropriate and rude.
Rudy=Hillary
Think what you may about the NRA, but Rudy just does not get the basic the reason and purpose why gun ownership is a constitutional right. Rudy said that people on the terrorist watch list should not own guns, and while that sounds all fine and good and everything, until you consider the fact that people who have spoken out against the government have found them on the terrorist watch list including John Kerry, Cat Stevens and several children and university professors.
Just wait til the nationalize health care and get that national ID card, when they run a background check to buy a gun you will not be able to get one if you have ever seen a psychiatrist for any reason including depression or ADD, or if you have ever expressed dissatisfaction with the government.
The right to own a gun is a revolutionary right, its designed to keep the government from becoming too oppressive and if we allow that right to be arbitrarily revoked by the bureaucratic act of being placed on a terrorist watched list, then the right to own a gun has been lost completely.
Screw you Rudy, you can take it out of my cold dead hand!
But Giuliani DIDN'T pick up where he left off. He had just been misquoting the 2nd Amendment (quoting the 4th, instead) before getting that phone call. (A warning from his campaign worker?) Check the tape again.
Disingenuous Rudy. It will bring him down. Of course Judi Giuliani is on a learning curve. A flat one. It begins and ends with "me." Both she and her third husband are opportunists above all. Their lives consist primarily of spin. Better they sit out the coming election, avoid further embarrassment, and enjoy Rudi's riches - attained solely through his 9-11 notoriety. Hillary Clinton is a good woman and senator and is no stranger to the White House. Neither is she a lying alcoholic with deadbeat kids, nor does her child hate her. Yes, Giuliani cleans up pretty good, but he's all suit and little substance. And do we really want Judith Giuliani for a First Lady? Visualize the horror. Hillary looks better by the minute.
Speaking to the Conservative 2A group who were at the meetings, they showed respect to Rudy, (As they always do)
BUT...Gave a Big thumbs down to him and his false speech.
Remember Al Gore admitting he lost six to seven States in the election to President Bush?
Remember John Kerry looking at polls numbers and then went on a "Photo-op" Hunting trip with Rifle in hand and ducks being held by his friend?
In short, as I said for the last six months, It's over for Rudy. National Politics is much different then New York State Politics. Word is getting out on Rudy....The beginning to the end for him.
BTW...
By military definition, assault rifles are “selective firearms” (full auto-continuous, or burst fire plus auto-loading) of sub-caliber.”
However, these guns are already heavily regulated, restricted, heavily taxed, and require special licenses. Thus, the cry for restrictions on “assault weapons” has already been answered. In short, Assualt Weapons are not sold to the general public.
However, it has not silenced the gun-control crowd, who continue to attempt to expand the definition of assault rifle. (Scare Words)
The designation “semi-automatic” simply means that the gun loads a bullet in the chamber automatically, without the user having to take an extra step to do so. Thus, every time the user pulls the trigger, one shot is fired, and the next one is loaded. IE…Your Hunting, Target Rifles….
This is the expansion of law the Anti-2A’s want. They do it by confusion of words to the “City Dwellers”.
