Front-running Republican presidential primary candidate Rudy Giuliani, accompanied by wife Judith, mingled, chatted and took questions about topics from the nation's defense to immigration and the economy at his fundraiser in a private home on Friday night, those on hand said.
County Clerk Judy Pascale, who along with Legis. Ed Romaine chairs Giuliani's Suffolk effort, described it as a high-energy, upbeat event. Romaine estimated half a million dollars was raised, with about 250 people in attendance, including local pols and activists. More later...
