Immigration battle: a different line of argument...
Concerns about illegal immigration, at least on Long Island, focus in part on the basic question of why non-citizens should enjoy rights and privileges afforded to citizens. Today the Immigration Coalition, based in Manhattan, holds a press conference near federal court that puts forward this statement:
"In our nation’s often ugly immigration debate, immigrants are commonly portrayed as not wanting to learn English and not wanting to join American society. But the truth is that more and more immigrants want to become U.S. citizens and take on the rights and responsibilities of citizenship. Naturalization applications are on the rise; waiting lists for English and civics classes continue to grow; and millions pray for new laws that will finally allow them to get on a path to citizenship. "

May Be in NYC Where the Streets are Paved With Gold. However in The Rest of the world We See Rapes Murders and Kidnappings not to mention Drive By shootings and DUI's resulting in the Deaths of Cops and Joggers. The Common Denominator is That these upstanding Non Citizens All Require Me The Taxpayer to foot the bill for an Interpeter.
illegal immagration has just about wiped out a thriving and my income source on long island. They have taken over (CONSTRUCTION) THERE GOES ALL THE SO CALLED EXPERTS AND THERE THEORY THEY ARE TAKING JOBS NOT WANTED BY AMERICANS. What do I do sue the government for Lack of income due to there not upholding Federal laws? I look into my childrens faces and i want to choke someone out. Thirty yrs in construction on long island MAKING A GOOD LIVING MY INCOME HAS BEEN DIEING A SLOW DEATH. What i have seen and experienced in my thirty yrs make me and expert : (jobsite after jobsite) for thirty yrs i have been in the trenches seen the slow steady advance i declare the war lost. My advice to longislanders although alot of you are unaffected by there overwhelming and increasing numbers. Your days are around the corner if not you your children. The quantity of illegal imigrants has been increasing at such an alarming rate your lives will soon be affected. Soon the bankers and insurance jobs and let the games begin. They have taken cloths from my childrens back food from there mouths. Maybe amnesty is the answer it will let them advance quicker in there pursuit to a better life and take all the people unafected and sitting on there dufs by surprise.
