Battle for bus-union control comes to Plainview

The fight within the scandal-stained Amalgamated Transit Union Local 1181 has reached Long Island. The old guard's ouster of longtime shop steward James LaTorre has prompted a petition drive for his reinstatement from fellow employees of the We Transport/Towne Bus company in Plainview.
