Suffolk Deputy Presiding Officer Vivian Viloria-Fisher (D-Setauket) slammed County Executive Steve Levy for scolding her last week, in what she says was the mistaken belief that she picketed his office alongside day-care providers.
"It was just inappropriate, but that's so Steve," Fisher said of Levy's call to her.
Fisher insists she did show up in front of Levy's office where the day care providers demonstrated, "to see how many folks showed up and what kind of news media were there." But Levy replied through spokesman, Mark Smith: "She was there with the crowd. How is she not part of that?"
Fisher has introduced legislation that would force the administration to pay day care providers' bills within 30 days. The providers have been complaining of tardiness. The administration says waiting a month or two for payment is normal.

This is why Levy really isn't all that effective as a CE. If you're not his friend, you're his sworn enemy. There's no middle ground.
Sounds like a certain Democrat Governor that I know...
Funny; I was thinking the exact same thing...
