Suffolk County Executive Steve Levy said it was galling that Deputy Presiding Officer Vivian Viloria-Fisher asked him for a job as one of his chief deputies -- and then joined picketers protesting his administration.
"She called and said 'I’d be perfect for the job,'" Levy said via a spokesman, Mark Smith.
Smith said his boss was "incredulous" that a week after the call Viloria-Fisher was seen with day care providers -- picketing, he said, outside his office to demand that his administration pay its bills on time.
She insists she wasn't picketing, only viewing the scene.

Viloria-Fisher, a Democrat from East Setauket, inquired about the chief deputy job -- soon to be vacated when Kevin Law leaves -- but she wasn’t serious.
"I was just curious what he would say," Viloria-Fisher said. "I have no interest in working at the pleasure of Steve Levy."
Besides, the job was taken, said Viloria-Fisher.
"He said ‘Oh, no. I offered the job to somebody I can’t name,’" said Viloria-Fisher.

Elect Vivian Viloria-Fisher for County Executive!
First she runs for County Clerk now she wants to be Chief Deputy County Executive. It's obvious she has no interest in being a legislator anymore. I hope the voters realize this.
She's term-limited to (I believe) one more term, hence her interest in other positions.
I CERTAINLY hope that he is not considering Pamela Greene of Islip. That will mark the end of Steve Levy's political career when she undermines his administration and seeks to replace him as County Exec..
"I was just curious what he would say," Viloria-Fisher said. "I have no interest in working at the pleasure of Steve Levy."
How can she work at Steve Levy's pleasure ... she works at the pleasure of lefty groups from outside Suffolk.
Nice try, Vivian.
