Hustler publisher Larry Flynt, whose $1,000 contribution was returned by Clinton's senate campaign in '05, finally got back to us today vis-a-vis the incipient Hillary-Hefner axis.

"She's a hypocrite," he explained to Newsday from Hustler corporate headquarters on Hollywood's Wilshire Blvd mid-Tuesday. "It just goes to show you, when people say there's a Bill and Hillary mean-spiritedness, there's a foundation."

Flynt, who has made a fortune off of hardcore porn and his hard-headed commitment to the First Amendment, said he told Clinton confidante Harold Ickes a few months back that Hillary, once his hands-down 2008 favorite, had lost his vote.

"Playboy is passe," added the lifelong Democrat. "Hustler's mainstream now... I guess she just doesn't want to have any sex in her campaign."

Flynt, who had been a prominent defender of Bill Clinton during Monica-gate, is still shopping for a candidate.
