Hillary on "1984"

Hillary Clinton used a little self-deprecating jiujitsu to deflect the powerful anti-Hillary You Tube video based on Apple’s "1984" campaign.

She says she’s just glad You Tube viewers aren’t watching another clip of her warbling through the national anthem at a Jan. 27 stop in Iowa. "I’m just happy if it’s taking attention away from me singing--my singing was bad enough, I’m just happy nobody was tuning in to that."

Both videos, below (1984 on top), have gotten about 1.1 million hits.

In a separate interview with NY1 News, she was asked if the "1984" video, which wasn’t an official product of the Obama campaign, should be removed. "You know, that's for somebody else to decide," said Clinton who has spoken out against Web censorship on other occasions. "I don't have an opinion one way of another. I think anything that drives interest in these campaigns and gets people who otherwise are not at all interested in politics, I think that's pretty good. I might quibble a little bit about the content but if we get more people, especially young people, thinking about politics, I'm happy about that."
