Newly-elected state comptroller Thomas DiNapoli has been careful not to shoot back at Gov. Eliot Spitzer, even after he called DiNapoli “thoroughly and totally unqualifed” for the job.
But DiNapoli may have unintentionally angered Spitzer in responding to a question from Newsday on Saturday in Albany. “I still have a lot of faith in Governor Spitzer. He’s going to be one of the greatest governors we have ever had,” DiNapoli said.
That may not be good enough.
Spitzer reportedly said last month that he had already surpassed other governors’ records during a testy telephone conversation with a top Republican.
“I’ve done more in three weeks than any governor has done in the history of the state,” according to a source who recounted the conversation between Spitzer and Assembly minority leader James Tedisco (R-Schenectady).

DiNapoli has a lot to teach our new Governor.
DiNapoli is a class act. Spitzer is a bully who needs to learn some manners.
DiNapoli will always outshine Spitzer as far as class and integrity. That's why Spitzer didn't want him as NYS Comp. Spitzer doesn't want ANYONE getting more praise and recognition than him.
