County Exec Suozzi late Friday sent a mass e-mail to county staffers announcing Helena Williams’ resignation.
“Helena Williams provided key counsel to me and this administration during the last five years,” Suozzi said in the e-mail. “Her valuable insight, common sense and legal skills came into play on almost every major initiative we have undertaken, from the turnaround of the county’s finances to the Nassau Centre revitalization project. We will miss her steady hand....”
