Spitzer Passes on Hil for Now

New Democratic Gov. Eliot Spitzer says it is premature for him to decide which presidential candidate he will support.

"It seems a little early," Spitzer said today as he left City Hall after following a news conference with Mayor Michael Bloomberg and New York's senior Senator, Charles Schumer. "But, we’ll get there."

i think he's weighing throwing his own hat in the ring. if he ever wants to make a legit run, this is probably the moment.

Spitzer!? No chance! He's been governor for a week. Obama's resume looks incredible next to Spitzer's. Spitzer's probably waiting for 2016.

spitzer has 8 years as a headline grabbing executive. obama's got two years as not a state legislature. that's like saying dean skelos has a better resume.

the best thing obama's got going is a good case of liberal guilt.

if spitzer waits till 2016 he'll either be a 3rd term governor. meaning he'll have spent all of his political capital and be grossly unpopular or he'll be a senator or he'll be out of govt service. you cant win the presidency from any of those.

with the exception of JFK no president has come DIRECTLY from a legislative seat since the reconstruction era.
