Nassau County Executive Thomas Suozzi may not have time for pretrial testimony but he does have a few moments to craft a few words endorsing embattled state Comptroller Alan Hevesi.
So Eliot Spitzer withdrew his endorsement of Hevesi, but Suozzi, who portrayed himself as the loudest voice of reform in the state, backs a guy who the Ethics Commission says violated state law. I wonder what Tommy would have said if he won the primary against Spitzer.
In a statement, Suozzi said, "Alan Hevesi has been a great Comptroller for suburban homeowners. His report on property taxes sounded the alarm on the huge burden placed on State taxpayers and his work on Medicaid reimbursements helped establish the caps that prevented our local taxes from going even higher. His opponent, Chris Callaghan lacks the experience necessary to deal with the issues facing Long Island. That’s why I am voting for Alan Hevesi."

blah, blah, blah - dem talking points - callaghan no experience. How about putting him in diapers? Suozzi is irrelevant, and he adds nothing except obviously blog fill.
Callaghan's adds are touting his "experience" as being elected president of a county treasurers association. Mercy. Was Callaghan in the glee club too? On the yearbook staff? Thank god that John McCain has endorsed Callaghan. I'm sure that they know each other well . This has become laughable. There's going to be some serious teeth gnashing at Spin Cycle when Callaghan gets beaten.
Maybe Tom Suozzi thinks he'll be appointed Comptroller if Hevesi gets indicted?
Thanks Alan for not looking into Nassau's finances too carefully. Especially all my police drivers on campaign time.
of course nassau tom has to endorse hevesi...afterall they have something in common..more than being democrats...they both believe they are above the law and public servants are really their serfs...if hevesi falls..then nassau tom may be the next to go...politics makes strage bedfellows..or cell mates
Who cares who Suozzi endorses. He needs a ticket to get back into politics. He hads lost control of the Legislature, the Dem Party, and soon OTB and the BOE. He can endorse Faso if he wants. No one cares anymore.
