Questions for to current Nassau County Legislator David Mejias:
How does running for Congress make you an effective local legislator for our communities?
If re-elected to the Nassau County Legislature, do you promise to serve your entire sworn two year term?
Doesn't running for Congress take away time from being present in the Nassau Legislature and understanding the issues?
Aren't we the citizens vulnerable to you using your position in Nassau County as the former head of the Nassau Industrial Development Agency where you gave away over $200 million in exchange for $155,000 in political campaign contributions?
How does Nassau County give away $200 million when we have structural financial deficits that may require raising Nassau County taxes?
If rasing taxes 20% only brings in $120 million, how can you support the Suozzi Administration justifying tax increases in light of your generosity to political backers at taxpayers expense?
