Eliot Spitzer and John Faso are expected to trade barbs tonight during their second debate in Buffalo but this morning both men have to be cordial with each other because they, and their aides, are traveling on the same Jet Blue Airways flight out of Kennedy Airport.
Both men also traveled on the same flight to Ithaca when they faced off in their first debate at Cornell University last month.
Faso, during an appearance in Patchogue yesterday, said he plans to again go after Spitzer over the attorney general's support of state Comptroller Alan Hevesi. Spitzer has said Hevesi is a good public servant despite a recent scandal in which Hevesi failed for over three years to repay the state for chauffeur services for his wife. Hevesi paid the state $83,000 last month but he's been very quiet about several unanswered questions about the case.
