Democrats rockin' steady in the latest Siena Poll results, conducted post-primary and out this morning.
Spitzer leads Faso 72-21, and even leads among Republicans! Hillary leads Spencer 62-33. And, in what the press loosely calls the only "competitive" race, Cuomo leads Pirro 53-36. That's slightly up from 50-35 in August and, ominously, Cuomo has a net favorable rating of 50-35, while Pirro has a net unfavorable rating of 32-29.
Siena Poll spokesman Steve Greenberg sees something else ominous for Pirro: “It is no surprise that Cuomo has a two-to-one lead in Democratic New York City. What is surprising, however, is that he has extended his lead in traditionally Republican upstate to 18 points, and Cuomo ties Pirro 47-47 percent in her downstate suburban base.”
But here's a little item of good news for Pirro: The News blog reports that Jeanine has a big fundraiser coming, and looks poised to compete financially.
