Viloria-Fisher is missing the bigger picture by accusing her fellow democrate legislators of “leaking” information. Her esteemed colleagues, including Lindsay, are merely expressing frustration with fisher’s erratic and self centered behavior. She also should be aware that the “chatter” is not only coming from the legislators but also coming from her own close associates, some with in her own office. So perhaps Vivian should take a look in the mirror and GROW UP and change her behavior so that she can build trust with her colleagues and staff, then she would be able to worry about her constituents instead of worrying about “chatter

She is just standing up to a bunch of sexist pigs who don't value her opinion.

Vivian only stands up for herself and her BBQ billionaire buddies Marsha Laufer, James Simons and the Renaissance Technology way of life. Viloria-Fisher is and has been value-less her whole life from her three village "teaching" days to her current political career. At least her colleagues are willing to reveal her other side (materialistic and otherwise) regardless of political affiliation. I for one respect the chatter of legislators for exposing her for what she truly is.

Don't you see? This is a conspiracy against Vivian because she is an outspoken woman in a man's world. She doesn't need their help and would not have gotten it. As far as I am concerned Vivian has a good friend in Marsha Laufer, and that is all she really needs. Everyone from Steve Engelbright to Bill Lindsay are full of hot air. If Vivian loses this race for County Clerk, the blood will be on the hands of Richard Schaffer and the rest of his male cabal that keeps women second and promotes only those who pay respect to him.

Vivian will only work with others when they see things as Vivian sees it, no deviation, her way or no way, her typical elitist behavior. She should follow Steve Levy’s example as a leader and an individual who can get things done by working with others as opposed to Fisher who can’t even get along with herself.

Her good Friend Marsha Laufer and James Simons can give her lots and lots of money but that cant change who she is, an early retired school teacher that can’t get along with anyone.

Vivian Fisher was one of the first elected Hispanic American legislators and her family can trace its roots back to the beginnings of salsa music. She is much more than simply a retired school teacher. I believe in her because she doesn't try to appeal to the masses, rather she appeals to people of similar intellect and ability to comprehend the arts, society, history, and intellectual teachings that the rest of her blue collar democrats simply cannot and that is why they dislike her.

I suggest that Bill Lindsay and his cohorts enroll at Suffolk Community College for a few courses that will broaden their horizons and give them the ability to stop being the sexist underlings of King Richard.

I am not involved in, and don't want to be involved in this dispute. But I must object to the characterizations of Rich Schaffer and Steve Englebright as sexists, and the accusation that they have not assisted Legislator Fisher. While Mr. Schaffer was not leader when Vivian ran for the first time in 1999, Assemblyman Englebright and his staff worked very hard in Vivian's first campaign to help her get elected. Rich Schaffer has given me, a woman, much support in my past campaigns. I hope that those who are making accusations against these gentlemen have facts to back up their seemingly absurd allegations.

Vivian has never been or ever will be a strategist she is the purest form of a reactionist to her own goals in life which she has often failed at and consequently had to put on her revisionist hat. The only party Ms Fisher supports is the Vivian Fisher party and she can not get out of the way of her own elitist attitude to understand that all men are not sexists.

Vivian Fisher has moved her “beautiful” office from idyllic Setauket to “Lunch Pail” Port Jefferson...oh wait, it is actually beautiful Port Jefferson village. One must ask the question, Is Vivian trying to shed her elitist persona?...you can take Vivian out of an elitist town but you cant take the elitist out of Vivian
