Former U.S. Sen. Al D'Amato was on NY1 News Tuesday evening making dire predictions for the candidacy of John Faso and talking about a need to rebuild the GOP in the state.
D'Amato's promotion of Spitzer is reminiscent of that mutual non-aggression pact the GOP Senator had for so many years with the last Democratic governor, Mario Cuomo.

Why shouldn't D'Amato support Spitzer? Because he's from the other party? Only an idiot votes straight party (unless you're the party chairman, then you pretty well have to). Spitzer is, after all, far and away the best qualified to lead this state. That is why he will win in a landslide.
And I agree with One-Time Ally that Suozzi Fan is probably Bruce Nyman monitoring the blog for Mr. Suozzi.
The reason the party is in such bad shape is that Al's GURU Arthur Finkelstein planned it.
In fact in 1998 Finkelstein made sure that Al and Vacco would lose
So Pataki would be the only one Standing after the 1998 election
His NEW MONSTER,
Al and Vacco to this day doesn't know that Finkelstein & Company were helping Schumer & Spitzer.
The reason Schumer did not run for Gov is that he new if he won the primary the would deep six AL
Its the great untold story.
ps in 1994 AL, Arthur, Powers & company they send out the word to Republicans upstate not to vote for Herb London.
pps Someone should WASH AL'S MOUTH OUT WITH SOAP
