Dems Attack Bush During Long Island Visit

As President George Bush used a commencement address at the Merchant Marine Academy in Kings Point to rattle his sabre at Iran for its pursuit of nuclear weapons, the New York State Democratic Committee questioned why New York has received less money for homeland security from the Bush administration.

“While he’s in town, the President should explain to the graduates and all New Yorkers why he is so strongly opposed to giving New York the funds we need to secure our ports and other areas that may be vulnerable," New York State Democratic Chairman Herman “Denny” Farrell, Jr. said in a statement.

Should Bush also explain why he aimed his rhetoric at Iran, but made no mention of North Korea though the communist nation appears to be on the verge of testing a long-range ballistic missile?

All today's Dumbaya visit to the Merchant Marie Academy was was another in a long line of Bush Photo Op's.

2,500 + American GI's have died a needless death due to this ignoramuses lousy decision making process.

The killer is that the media is most willing to give the moron mucho time for each and every obvious photo op!

Today's visit was a slap in the faces of all those who graduated today. A visit from a man(?) who wriggled his way out of his "tour of duty" when he was asked to serve.

I for one wretch each and every time this flim flam artist stages another of these well timed photo op's.

At least the general public is not buying these staged events, as Dumbaya's approval rating is a dismal as ever!

"Should Bush also explain why he aimed his rhetoric at Iran, but made no mention of North Korea though the communist nation appears to be on the verge of testing a long-range ballistic missile?"

What I want to know is why the US is the only country permitted to have a substantial defense program. Seeing as how the US Government deals in offense rather than defense, that's quite troubling ...

(And as an aside: since when does Communist equal hostile to the US? To their capitalist interests, certainly, especially in their region, but Communism is both a political and economic movement. In both cases it poses no direct threat to the US as a nation.)
