Meet Emma

I was about to shut off the computer here at the paragraph factory and go outside into the unseasonably warm day (or what's left of it) when I got this email.

Emma's story made me stop. Maybe you will, too.

CONTACT: DIANE -HOPE4DOGS@OPTONLINE.NET

~PLEASE CROSSPOST ~

SEE PIX !

ALL SHE HAS KNOWN IS PAIN AND TORTURE

LOOKING AT HER PICTURES, IT IS HARD TO FATHOM THAT SHE WAS USED AS A BAIT DOG.

EMMA IS A PRETTY PITTIE MIX ABOUT 4 YEARS OLD WITH PERFECT BLACK AND WHITE MARKINGS ( MUCH LIKE A BOSTON TERRIER'S).

SHE HAS A BEAUTIFUL SOUL, BUT HER LIFE HAS BEEN A BRUTAL AND UGLY ONE.

SHE WAS FORCED TO BREED AND ALSO TURNED INTO A BAIT DOG

*SHE ARRIVED AT THE SHELTER WITH MULTIPLE BITE WOUNDS*

*HER TEETH HAVE BEEN FILED OFF !*

25 % OF HER TONGUE IS MISSING :-(

SHE IS SO FRIGHTENED SHE DOES NOT *WALK* IN THE PRESENCE OF PEOPLE;
BUT RATHER, SHE DOES A VERY TIMID COWERING CRAWL.

(NO- WE ARE NOT EXAGGERATING, THE DOG WILL NOT WALK OUT OF FEAR)

WHEN SHE SEES A DOG- ANY DOG- SHE GOES BELLY UP IN AN AUTOMATIC ACT OF SUBMISSION.

EMMA IS SCARED OUT OF HER MIND AND YET DESPITE IT ALL?

SHE HAS SHOWN A GENTLE, LITTLE GIRL SIDE TO HER ADVOCATE; OFTEN CRAWLING AGAINST HER AND UNDERNEATH HER, FOR PROTECTION.

THE MONSTER(S) THAT HAD EMMA TOOK EVERYTHING THEY COULD FROM HER,USING & ABUSING HER, FOR THEIR GAIN.

BUT THE ONE THING THEY DID NOT TAKE-
-THOUGH THEY MAY HAVE BROKEN IT-
IS HER SOUL.

EMMA STILL HAS A LOT OF SOUL IN HER, AND IN THE RIGHT HANDS WE DESPERATELY WANT TO SEE HER GENTLE SPIRIT COME BACK TO LIFE.

WE KNOW, THAT ONCE UPON A TIME EMMA WAS PROBABLY A NORMAL, HAPPY AND GENTLE GIRL, THAT PLAYED WITH OTHER DOGS AND WAS EAGER TO PLEASE HUMANS.

(TRAGICALLY THIS STUNNING, GORGEOUSLY MARKED GIRL, GOT INTO THE WRONG HANDS AND THOSE BEAUTIFUL TRAITS IN HER PERSONALITY,
ARE THE SAME TRAITS THAT MADE HER A PERFECT, DEFENSELESS BAIT DOG.)

:-(

EMMA IS HURTING FROM THE TREMENDOUS TRAUMA OF WHAT SHE HAS BEEN THROUGH- BUT DESPITE THIS?

SHE SHOWS NOT ONE MEAN BONE IN HER BODY AND ZERO AGGRESSION.

IT WILL TAKE SOMEONE WITH A LOT OF PATIENCE AND A BIG HEART TO TAKE THE TIME TO HELP HER OVERCOME HER HORRIFIC PAST.

EMMA NEEDS LOTS OF LOVE AND REHAB TO LEARN TO BE A REAL DOG AGAIN.

TO LEARN NOT TO THINK THAT EACH PERSON OR DOG SHE MEETS, SPELLS THE PAIN AND TORTURE OF A BAIT SESSION.

EMMA'S LIFE IS IN DANGER RIGHT NOW.

SHE IS IN A VERY FULL, HIGH KILL SHELTER.

AFTER LIVING IN HELL FOR SO LONG, SHOULDN'T SHE GET A CHANCE TO KNOW THAT LIFE CAN BE GOOD & THAT THERE ARE KIND HUMANS AND FRIENDLY CANINES IN THIS WORLD?

WE THINK SHE IS WORTH IT- BUT HER TIME IS RUNNING OUT.

ALL IT TAKES IS FOR THERE TO BE NO CAGE SPACE AT ALL AND EMMA, LIKE SO MANY DOGS WHERE SHE IS, COULD BE DESTROYED.

PLEASE HELP US SAVE HER FROM DEATH AND PLEASE HELP US HEAL HER SPIRIT.

EMMA KNOWS A LOT ABOUT PAIN AND SUFFERING,

AND NOTHING ABOUT LOVE AND KINDNESS.

DON'T LET EMMA EXPERIENCE ANY MORE HUMAN BETRAYAL,

WE ARE IMPLORING ALL RESCUE PEOPLE AND ORGS FOR HELP WITH THIS GIRL.

WE DON'T WANT HER LAST EXPERIENCE ON EARTH, TO BE THE ULTIMATE BETRAYAL: A SHELTER NEEDLE IN HER FOREARM.

IF YOU CAN HELP EMMA IN ANYWAY- PLEASE CONTACT HER ADVOCATE DIANE IMMEDIATELY AT THIS EMAIL ADDRESS: HOPE4DOGS@OPTONLINE.NET

*PLEASE GIVE DIANE A CHANCE TO GET BACK TO YOU AS SHE FIELDS A LOT OF EMAILS FOR RESCUE*

This is so sad. I hate people who torture animals.

Thanks for posting this Denise

Alot of us got this email today and have been crossposting all over to get this dog out of there. We may have someone who is willing to take her and help her but need a rescue to pull her, can anyone help her.

She is so precious. I wish there was something I could do to help.

Call Darlene, I'm sure she'll want to POSSESS Emma...heh..She and Moniker both have a thing to Pits...Moniker could use another Molly Moo type doggie...xoxrooby

Any news on Emma getting out of that shelter? Has anyone heard anything on Sarge?

ROOBY, DARLENE, DEBBIE, MONIKER, ETC. - Has anyone checked with Jill H to see if their animal rescue might be able to rescue Emma? I wonder.

Kathleen

This sweet girl is haunting me. I just WISH I could do something to help, but I have two preschoolers and two rat terrorists. She's in my prayers. I can't imagine how anyone could be so cruel!

Daddy God, we know you have the perfect place for Emma. Bring her to her forever home and please avenge her horrendous abusers. I am sorry Daddy God for the feelings I am having right now, but I am sure you are having the exact same feelings, for she is your creation. Thank you for shining your light on this evil so we can get Emma help and a home. Daddy God, we ask that you bring Vivi home. We ask that you shine that extra bright light of yours on her beautiful soul and show your searchers exactly where she is. We ask you to cuddle Vivi next to your heart and lead her to rescue. This has gone on long enough Daddy and we honestly and truely and deeply need her to come home. You led the animals to the Ark of safety, lead Vivi to the Ark of rescue. Give her your presence and remove all of her fear. Give her an incessant need for human companionship. Cause her to come out in the open and be delivered from the streets. Give Vivi happy birthday kisses from us and whisper in her ears to go to the meeting place of rescue that you have prepared. Lead your children to her. Guide them to her even if they are unaware that you are doing so. Just get them to her Daddy God, for we trust and stand with you. We are on your side in this world of cruelty and pain. Help us Daddy. We need you. In Jesus's name, we praise you!!

I have posted once lately and yet on this site it says I've made too many posts...I wish we had the old format back instead of this one...I never know where the blogs are or anything...I might just give up..

Betty! Happy to see you back again!

KathleenSsssss, will do.

Hello!

Our rescue group would be honored to take Emma- we have worked with bait dogs in the past and would love to seek out the incredible happy ending that Emma deserves. I have a volunteer in the Nassau area, we can pull Emma and get her up to us in New England- but I need some more details. I typically pull from TN so I have no idea what shelter she is in and how I can contact the pound where she is currently located at.

I have emailed Diane at the Hope 4 Dogs email address but Emma's trail stops there. Does anyone have further contact info? Please do not hesitate to email me at kesalerno at gmail dot com. Thanks so much!

Kelly and PAWS New England

God Bless you Kelly Parker and PAWS New England! I have been praying for sweet Emma.

I could just SMOOCH Emma's little frownie lips!

That is so fantastic. I hope you can get some information soon. Please let us know.

In terms of contact info for Hope4Dogs, I googled this group and found Emma on a Best Friends page from 2006. http://network.bestfriends.org/News/8948.html - Does anyone have any real info re: who this group is?

Here is the contact listed on the Best Friends page. Maybe she would know something:

Janice Sclafani

Kelly Parker, are you from Canada ?

These two Emma girls are not the same dogs. Perhaps same breed but different markings.

Note of caution - just because a dog leaves a shelter does not mean it is "safe". Remember that by posting/cross-posting, you are taking on responsibility for that animal's life. Please be very cautious about the rescues that appear - with the internet, email, and groups we are seeing many animals going from one bad situation to another - sometimes a worse situation. No one has any idea what some of these rescues are like - if everyone would take the time to truly know the rescues they email/post/cross-post these animals to they would be safer, but the email lists with hundreds of people go to more hundreds of people and often fall into the wrong hands - those sending the emails or postings rejoice when an animal is out of their current situation, and that is understandable; however, unless you can personally vouch for the rescue that took the animal in ... you have no idea what truly happens to that animal.

That rescue may send you glorious updates, but anyone can pretend to be who/what they are not on the internet. Please personally check out each and every rescue and person on your "forward" lists. Make sure that they perform to your personal comfort level.

JILL - Thank you so much for posting this warning. This is SOOO true. Same goes with horse rescue as well. We would not send our own animals or children to live with someone we had not verified or checked out - let's be careful not to do this with any living creature.

The nice thing about this blog is we have so many people in so many areas of the country. If we want to verify a rescue or person adopting, let's use this resource to help us check out the conditions this animal would be living in.

Any word on Emma?

EVERYONE I JUST GOT AN EMAIL THAT EMMA IS SAFE AND IN FOSTER!!!! APPARENTLY WHEN DIANE (THE CONTACT) SENT THE MESSAGE OUT NOT EVERYONE GOT IT....
SHE IS NOT IN DANGER BUT SAFE IN A FOSTER HOME!!!!!

SORRY I MEANT TO SAY SHE'S NOT IN DANGER ANYMORE!! THANKS FOR ANYONE THAT TRIED TO HELP HER. I'M TOLD SHE'S BEEN IN FOSTER SINCE THIS PAST SATURDAY. :)

Monica,

Have you heard how Emma is doing?

Just wanted to make sure that Emma is safe in foster. That poor little girl deserves a better chance at life. Thanks to the foster parent. Your are beautiful.

I know you have all seen the ad by Sara McLaughlin where she sings In the Arms of an Angle for the ASPCA. I cannot watch it. I cry every time I hear it on. I hurt for those poor babies. I hope it does bring in lots of donations. The message is sure strong enough.

Kay, I had mentioned that ad before. It also tears my heart apart and I have to switch the channel or click on the mute button. Does anyone know if those babies were adopted? When I hear that song on the radio now, I think of them. It is powerful.
Has there been any news on Sargeant and Vivi?
How is Sniffles doing? His miracle shows you can never give up.

Good morning Daddy God. We thank you with all of our hearts that little Emma is in a safe foster home. We place her under your protection and guidance for the perfect, forever home, where she will find joy, peace and good, strong self esteem. Please heal her broken heart Daddy God. Lead your chosen ones to our beloved Vivi. Bring her home for we need her and she needs us. Give her peace and strength and show her the way to your perfect rescue. Bring her to the meeting place you have prepared for her to be rescued and brought home safe and sound. You are the great almighty God and nothing is too hard for you. We trust in you and you alone to bring Vivi into perfect deliverance and freedom from the streets. Hold her in the palm of your hand and guide your chosen ones to her quickly. Our hearts ache for her Daddy God. Strengthen us and help us. We thank you for your continuous healing for Pepper. Surround this baby girl and bring her into total deliverance. Renew her precious body and bring her the strength and health of a puppy again. Give her a ravenous appetite and bring the nutrition she needs to every cell in her body. Keep your healing anointing on Jackie's hands as she cares for Pepper and give her strength and fill her heart with your joy of perfect wholeness for her beloved Pepper. Surround all of us as we seek to do your will on this earth. Cause our faith to soar and our hopes to come to pass. Help us all to walk in your ways, in your wisdom and in your love and guidance. We adore you! You are our loving Father and we thank you for ALWAYS being with us. In Jesus's Name we pray and praise you!!!

I just can't stop crying about sweet Emma. My question is this: Are these horrible, cruel torturers ever found and prosecuted for what they do? My friends and I always wonder if they are located and pay for what they do to these poor animals. Can they find the ones who hurt Emma? Somebody please let me know. I hope she finds a wonderful, loving home.

I am with you Sharon. These babies do nothing to deserve this. I hope they do get the ones who did this and string them up or put them in as bait dogs. I have no pity for them.

We, the animal lovers in Memphis, are extremely sad this week. Our precious baby who had suffered so much, a lot like Emma's situation, died on the operating table on Monday. Bruiser was not as lucky as sweet Emma. Please say a special prayer for Bruiser and that somehow we can find justice for the cruelty he suffered. He will be missed by many.

Here is the link to the Pet Blog written by Cindy Wolff, "The Commercial Appeal," which tells Bruiser's story. Cindy truly has a heart full of love for all creatures, great and small. Maybe sweet Bruiser can now be a guardian angel for Emma.

http://commercialappeal-web.com/pets/

Heavenly Father, bless the beast and the children, for in this world, they have no voice, they have no choice.

Susan I guess I missed your post on that ad. It really pulls on the heart strings.

I received this email from my friend in Indiana. She asks that you pray for Zeus because she knows that your prayers are very powerful.

Date: Thu, 1 May 2008 09:13:35 +0000
To all my friends, We need your help here. Our canine officer just recieved some pretty bad news about his partner ZEUS. Zeus is an 8 yr old Shepard who has been diagnosed with possible kidney failure or Lupus they are still running tests. If you all know me at all I think you know I have become very attached to Zeus. I think Sean (his handler) gets sick of me asking for him to come in and get his hair combed or play ball. The Vet has put him on a special diet. If it is the Kidney Failure 'Zeus' may only have a Year left. Please please keep Zeus in your prayers. I sent this to all my canine loving friends because I know with the power of prayer and friends Zeus has a better chance of recovery.
Thank You in advance and I will keep everyone updated and will get a picture of him out soon.

Cindy

Does anyone know what happened to Emma? I would really like to know. I volunteer at an animal shelter and do rescue work and I still see her beautiful face all the time.

Thank you.

Noreen, Emma is SAFE!! See April 23 posting by Monica.

Hi Everyone,
I just read in the paper that Lt. Alan Borgal ( remember he had offered to try to net Vivi when she appeared to be in one area) removed 90 dogs and puppies from a Randolph, MA home that looked like it was used for breeding. He had vets come and check the dogs in the backyard before they took them away. Has anyone heard more about this?
Always thinking of Vivi, Sarge and our lost and sick babies. May more miracles come soon with better weather.

I am here!

Me too - hey did you read the last post from Cal? I like it

I'm here too, and I forwarded Kathy's e-mail to Margot, Sue G and Kay since I had their e-mails. Did not have the others though.

I'm sorry, as disgusting as this Anon person is with these posts, I feel NO HUMAN should be spoken to like the CAL person did. I do not agree with this kind of inhumane treatment to humans or animals.

I believe this is a sick person who needs our pity crying for help, not more insults. I would never want to be a person who could say the wrong person and push someone over the edge - maybe to even suicide. Let's not return ugliness with more ugliness please everyone. I cannot help but feel very sorry for this person who seems so lonely.

I don't feel sorry for him/her/it --- he is out to hurt and is doing a good job of it - thrives on seeing our reaction to what he says ---- that is why I suggested moving and not letting him know ---- we might have some enjoyable time on this blog until he finds us again. If we could just not answer him, he might go away but that doesn't work because none of us can stop from replying to him and that just eggs him on ----- the things he has said are hurtful and I want to hurt back but he replies and it goes on and on and on so I choose to move to another thread - I'm not a hurtful person so I have to work on trying to hurt back and it is just not worth my time.

I'm here too.

I'm here too.

Got the message. I'm here, too. It's so hard not to respond to all that stupid bs but whenever someone does respond, it just adds fuel to the fire so to speak.

yes it is hard for me too Pam not to respond and then I do and I get so mad I want to strangle someone

I know how you all feel, when that "it" attacked me so horribly a while back I got angry too. I lost it and told them to "go to hell." Believe me, it did not bother them but it haunted me. I felt horrible. That is when I decided I would NOT respond with anything like that again. It hurt me much more than them.

KATHY: Are you the same one that also posts on the ABR thread. I'm part of Team Becker since the beginning and once in a while I do read some of the other threads.

HEY PEOPLE! IT'S KATHY-CO'S BIRTHDAY. SHE'S 21 TODAY....heh..

xoxoxoRooby

21? I remember that, another time in a glaxay far far away!!

I,m here too hopefully that wacky bitch is gone

Happy Birthday, Kathy!!! Yeah, that age is definitely in a far, far away place. Ha! Have a good one

HAHAHA Ma - 21 ---- at least twice over!!!!

Thanks Pam

yes Margot --- I'm part of Team Becker also!!! and I'm an angel for Aaleyah Belle. Just sent a fly mask for little Buttercup so she and Belle can be twins!!!

I do not know what Team Becker is (or if I did, I don't remember.)
Would you care to explain what it's about?

Happy Birthday Kathy and many more

It is a wonderful thread on the ABR site ---- it is about a horse named Influent - and his owner Mike Becker --- long story short - a lady named Collette is a nurse in the ER and Mike was in the ER --- Collette is also an FOB - they talked and she learned that he used to own Influent but had to give him up as he was sick and couldn't care for him any longer. Thru the FOB site, Collette was able to find out that another FOB had Influent and put Mike's mind at ease that he was well and being taken care of which was a great relief to Mike as this horse was his world. they wanted to arrange a meeting but Mike never got well enough to leave the hospital and passed away a few months ago. Thru this meeting tho a lot of other things happened ---- Collette and her son who is autistic love horses and were at a race. Her son had happened upon a horse named Super Hero and little boys being little boys - love super heros, her son wanted to meet Super Hero. They followed Super Hero's racing career and soon found that he started falling in the grades. Thru some connections and help from some FOBs, Super Hero was given to Collette and her son and the FOBs helped arrange to get Super Hero shipped to Collette's husbands farm in NY and surprise her son. Now - the FOBs (Team Becker) are helping to get Mike's elderly father thru the loss of his son and get him back on the road to health, etc.

That's it in a nutshell - for the complete story you can go to http://forums.delphiforums.com/alexbrown/messages?msg=13300.1

Did I get it pretty close Margot?

for some reason the previous post didn't post the complete link - here it is again

http://forums.delphiforums.com/alexbrown/messages?msg=13300.1

In case it doesn't copy again - put msg=13300.1 after the ?

Thank you SueG :)

GOOD MORNING PEOPLE....I'VE BEEN READING, BUT NOT POSTING. IT'S NICE HERE! HOPE IT STAYS THAT WAY...heh XOXXORooby

yay - it's pretty nasty on the other thread Ma

Thanks Kathy for the explanation. I glanced at the site. What a story!!

Good morning, Ma! Glad you are on board again for another day.

I just got the cutest email that I wanted to share with you all
about Christian the Lion ( a true story) I need to forward to someones email so they can post the U Tube video here for
you all to watch. I am a computer retard and I need help
Believe me this video is worth watching

Happy Birthday KATHY. Yes you were right on the money about Mike and Colette's story. What an amazing woman she is. Although my first love has always been dogs I do like the horses. I became part of Team Becker after reading the thread when Colette was first trying to find Influent's owner for Mike. When my uncle was Comm. of the NYRA under Hugh Carey I went with him to see the late great Secretariat race at Belmont around 1971. What a thrill to see Big Red race. I have a bronze medallion of the reopening of the Belmont (1968) which I was planning to give Mike but unfortunately that never came to pass. The FOB are such a generous group but they too have their disagreement. Thanks to Alex he won't allow it to become like this blog.

Thanks Margot --- yeah - Alex rules with an iron delete button - sometimes I question who he bans tho - a few that I thought were banned didn't need to be and some that weren't I felt needed to be - but all in all us FOBs have done a lot of good.

The video is up on Feed me, it is so awesome

I'm thinking and hoping the creepy person is gone. I think, just maybe Denise F. got rid of her. The last post was Vivi talking.
Could be that CAL chased the hag away! She was pretty good I thought!

Lets hope its over, it was nasty for while.

xoxorooby

HI Lady
Just wanted to stop by & say I read a story today, in the NY Post that a beagle got loose in Queens & was found 5 years later
in Ga. Someone found the dog over this 4th of July weekend & the dog was returned to the owner who flew down to Ga to get the dog..
The is still hope that Vivi may some day show up somewhere

read the story or go to www.nypost.com

When her beagle, Rocco, squeezed himself under the backyard gate and disappeared into the streets of Queens, 5-year-old Natalie Villacis refused to believe - as her parents reluctantly told her - that she would never see the puppy again.

That was in 2003.

Last weekend, Rocco came home - after being found in Georgia.

PHOTO GALLERY: Girl Reunited With Dog

The prodigal pooch turned up in a shelter 850 miles away in Hinesville, and by a combination of chance and chip - the one embedded in his back - was reunited with Natalie, now 11, and her family.

"When my mom told me they found Rocco, I cried hysterically - just like I did when they told me he was lost," Natalie told The Post. "I felt like I was in a dream, like my head was spinning."

Someone dropped Rocco off as a stray at the Liberty County Animal Control in Hinseville on July 5, supervisor Randy Durrence said.

After scanning the pooch's identity microchip, one of thousands routinely implanted in the skin of many pets today, Durrence traced Rocco to Queens.

Linda in Kings Park,NY

There is always hope. Just Keep the Faith.

Wouldn't that be wonderful!!!! A dream come true!!!

yea, idiot, at least no one broke this poor dog's legs....thank god you weren't chasing it. loser

Oh, I see you finally signed your name to a post.

loser

That took ALOT of courage, I am so proud of you!

Good one Kathy...LOSER ...haaaaaaaaaaa...

Sniff-sniff...I smelled somehting foul at 1:11 today. It's LOOOOOOSER..........gag
