Delta loses a cat named Tiger

Tiger_2 Team Vivi volunteers always have their nose to the ground about animal-related mishaps at the airlines. And they gave me a heads-up about the plight of Ezra Malek, who lost his kitty when Delta dropped the carrier from a loading platform at Atlanta's Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.

Now living in Israel, Malek is still hoping against hope that Tiger will be found. For the whole story, click here.

That is the spittin' image of my old cat "Oops".
I sure hope he can be found!!!

Sounds like Delta needs some more law suits so they wake up !!! Poor innocent animals.

Screw the DELTA!! They done it again after they lost VIVI!!

Why isn't the cat traveling with him under his seat, I don't get it. He lives in Israel and how does he suppose someone is going to find his cat when people in Queens have tried to find a dog, a famous one at that, with no luck after a year and she was big enough to see.

This upsets me to no end. How much do people really care about their animals that think nothing of putting them in these god forsaken planes and expect clear sailing. I am burnt out from so many lost animals that I have been contacted about this week so please excuse my rudness if that is how I am coming across. Sometimes I just think some people do not use their common sense and the animal suffers.

I don't fly alot so I'm not up on all do's and don't's on pet policies. Would this kitty really have been able to fly under the owner's seat?
If that's the case, this is a sad situation.
The owner would have been able to alleviate alot of problems if he had kept the cat with him.

Ladies, what can we do to help Tiger too. Must not discriminate against our precious felines! He is beautiful.

I will be happy to make a flyer for Tiger also tonight if some of you can help me e-mailing, faxing, etc. for this baby as well.

Just e-mail me or post if you want one, and I will do one tonight. Thanks.

Tiger is the spitting image of our Buddy. I hope Tiger shows himself and is found soon.

I have to agree with Regina. Is this guy going to fly down on the weekends to help us? I don't think so.. Been there, done that!!

Something needs to be done about Delta and all lthe other airlines and I KNOW and TRUST that Bonnie and her "Team" will do just that!!

"Watch O Lord with those who wake, or watch, or weep tonight, and give Your Angels and Saints charge over those who sleep. Tend Your sick ones, dear Lord, rest Your weary ones, bless Your dying ones, soothe Your suffering ones, pity Your afflicted ones, shield Your joyous ones, and all for Your Love's sake." (Saint Augustine)

Father Creator, take into Your ever powerful arms all those in need; animal and creature alike.Be with them in their distress. Strengthen the faith your people as they send prayers to You. Heal those who are ill. Bring home those who are lost. Send justice to those who are abused. Open the hearts of the compassionate so that the homeless will know love. At long last, give us a home with You who are the source of all life.
(Mention here any who have special needs such as Vivi,Iggy, and Tiger--check Betty/Michael's complete lists.)
Send your angels and saints to aid all those who do your work on earth;(especially Team Vivi). Let animals and people sleep peacefully knowing that YOU are in charge. Amen!

Sharon, how wonderful to hear from you. How are you doing? I have missed you.

Yes Sharon, we have missed you very much. Such a sweet, sweet prayer. Thank you.

How is your Mom doing also?

Psalm 139
7 Where can I go from your Spirit?
Where can I flee from your presence?
8 If I go up to the heavens, you are there;
if I make my bed in the depths, you are there.
9 If I rise on the wings of the dawn,
if I settle on the far side of the sea,
10 even there your hand will guide me,
your right hand will hold me fast.
11 If I say, "Surely the darkness will hide me
and the light become night around me,"
12 even the darkness will not be dark to you;
the night will shine like the day,
for darkness is as light to you.
Father, Powerful Creator of all who live- the KTISIS the work of Your hands. No being can hide from You-- no lost animal, no homeless ones, none that are abused, and none that love You and praise You, and try to do Your work on earth. Neither can they hide who hurt or injure one of these.
Loving Maker of all we entreat You to watch over the lost and the homeless. (Vivi, Tiger, Gracie...see Betty's list or mention your own intentions.) Show them to the arms of someone who can help them to go home. Heal the sick ones. (Red, Spit, everyone on Betty's list, and your intentions.) Take the abused and dying into Your embrace and give them the peace only You can impart. (mention...)Bring justice to the abuser, and the abused. Be ever at the side of those who wish to show Your love to the world (Team Vivi,Team Gracie, the St. Francis Sanctuary workers,....)
Rejoice with us who are confident that You will hear our prayers. We believe;help our unbelief. Bring us all into Your kingdom.
We, animal and creature alike will sleep well knowing YOU are in charge. Amen

Bonnie shared a flyer for Tiger with me, but we agreed it should be improved upon. I e-mailed one to she and Ezra Malek last night that I made up for Tiger. If anyone would like to help send this out looking for Tiger, please e-mail me and I will send you a copy. It is in Word format.

Tiger is so beautiful as is Gracie. I hope these babies can be rescued along with our sweet Vivi who is always in my thoughts and prayers. Sniffles and all the others too are as well always.

I have been experiencing that old "animal rescue burnout" from all these stories of our precious babies again. If ever I need a happy ending on one of these, it is definitely now. Please Vivi, now is the time to come home for sure.

MADISON UPDATE - AND IT IS A GREYTT ONE TOO!

July 30

Hi everyone! I know...I know....you are wondering where the heck I've been. Having all four kids home this summer makes things very hectic. I know it will be much easier to update when they are back in school. But, I thank all of you who have contacted me asking for an update. I will continue to update. Here is what is going on lately:
Madison continues to go to therapy this summer. She has made quite a few improvements in fact. On the speech therapy front, Madison is enjoying trying new baby foods. Recently, she really took to having butternut squash and peaches. She ate quite a few bites of these! It actually surprises me because I don't know many toddlers who actually like the taste of baby food. I guess she is just happy to have some tastes in her mouth again.

The physical therapist has been working with her standing and rolling. She actually can roll slightly, but it takes her a LONG time to initiate it. We also have to get her in just the right position for her to do it. Baby Steps!! Friday, when the therapists worked with her reflexes to get her to stand, she did for about a minute. The exciting thing about this though is that the first 45 minutes was with clapping her hands together. The last 15 seconds she stayed standing without us clapping her hands together. Before, if we stopped clapping, she would immediately sit. This is progress!! The PT is also working on her sitting muscles.

The occupational therapist continues to work on a lot of neurological and sensory issues as well as loosening up her arms. Madison really seems to be more aware than she was a few months ago. She turns her head to look around a lot. You keep trying baby girl! You are doing so well!

Medically Madison has been strong. She hasn't had any infections or complications ::knock on wood:: and continues to be very strong. We felt that maybe she could handle going down a little bit more on her anti-spasticity medicine so we discussed it with the doctor. She agreed to try it and we lowered it to 2.5 ML three times a day. This is so much lower than what she was getting when she first got out of the hospital! She was on 10 ml four times a day!!! That's 40 mg a day as compared to 7.5! That's such a positive step. We still hope to get hyperbaric oxygen treatments eventually. It's sooo expensive but I've heard so many positive things about it! Also, we have noticed some new neurological changes in madison. For the longest time, Madison did not have a corneal reflex. This is also known as the blink reflex which protects our eyes from foreign bodies. When the doctor touches the eyeball with a little cotton or tissue, she should blink. She didn't do this for a long long time. She has finally started to do it some!! Again, another improvement.

I know this ended up being a long update. I will definitely try to get on more often and am planning on doing a daily update while John is in Amsterdam with her. Speaking of which, they now have their passports so a month from now they will be in another country! WOW Thank you for the continued prayers. Please don't stop. Until next time...

B+ for Madison
