Case in point: Hope, a 3-year-old Shetland sheepdog who got spooked during the week-long Tar Heel Circuit Dog Show at the State Fairgrounds near Raleigh, N.C., on Friday.
A blogger from Triangle Sheltie Rescue is documenting Hope sightings and search efforts to trap her.

Thank you, Denise. I was wondering when people would remember we are here to help find Vivi, Hopey, Sniffles, Annie, Hope and our other lost pets. With the holidays approaching, it's time to work on making miracles happen for these families who miss their furry members.

The Sheltie is on K9 Amber alert where I also posted Vivi several mos. ago. it seems the handler was putting the sheltie in an ex pen and she wiggled free. That's so sad for both the handler and the dog but I understand Sheltie Rescue and others are trying so hard to find her. So far nothing has come across Amber Alert.
I am asking everyone to contact their individual State Veternarian and insist that they do more to get the word out about the petfood recall. The attached article is appalling and shows a list of each state and what they are doing.

Thank God - a voice of reason!!! and the fighting will stop. I agree - there was a post 2 weeks ago about the little dog lost on the Southern State Parkway in NY. how many people contacted the owner to offer help?? I did. some, with alot of free time, were too damn busy fighting or googling people's names to offer help. Has anyone kept up on Annie? I have!!! i'm no hero - trust me - but i would rather spend my time helping the lost or abused animals than picking apart someone's reputation, living, and home life.

i cannot believe so many states are not broadcasting this!!! i will contact my congressman and also will fax alot of the local vets in queens and long island as well.
Darlene, it is suggested that only the individual state vet (NY for your state)) that is on the list I posted above be contacted. They are the ones that in turn would require local vets to report numbers. Your congressman is also a good contact.

Vivi's candles are getting low, go into the candle site and light a few for her and for others, human and animal.
I havent heard anything from my are about any foods, but thank goodness, none of my neighbors feed the bad foods..
