Bo addendum .. good news!

<<P.S. Jil called and told me there have two reported sightings today. Rick will check them out; if they turn out to be reliable we’ll at least know that Vivi is still around...

We are very grateful to the persistent volunteers who are helping Honi distribute flyers and posters this weekend. Thanks, everyone!>>

Thank God.....let's hope for good news today....Maybe she knows Rick is there.

THANK GOD!!! Let's pray for that miracle to happen today. Come on Vivi- time for a belated birthday party.

I was so down and discouraged with this blog yesterday and just the whole situation and frustration of Vivi not being captured yet. Now I am sitting here with tears in my eyes that there were two sightings yesterday. I so hope that the sightings were in areas where Rick has walked this week and that she smells his scent. It's amazing how one little piece of good news can be so incredibly uplifting.

Oh I agree G in Maine. Debbie said last night she was sure that ViVi had not crossed over that bridge well that told me a sighting was called in. That bridge is near the old military base. I heard someone say their are only two exits so if we could get ViVi in there that would be great

I'm going to services this morning and will say special prayers for Vivi. Hopefully she can be contained in the base. With 2 openings, I hope people are watching those exits. Let's get the stinky bait! Maybe she senses Rick is there. Vivi, it's time to get you home for a wedding. Susan

Don't give up hope girls. It's not over till the fat lady sings and she's not ready yet. (and don't ask me who the fat lady is) lol

HI everyone----this is great confirmation again!!! just always hold tight and know things are happening out of sight---like things being true even though some people don't believe they are true---so she has that pattern remember---she goes out of sight and then pops up again---and she is getting closer----since she relates t Rick differently and sees him differently than other people in her life this is actually great that Rick is there becasue Rick is a play pal dog to her---she sees him as a dog pal---so we are now shifting the connection to having Rick the first dynamic in the visualizations that we are connecting Vivi to to hold her to the locations and keep her in the area---since there would not be any discipline issues with "doggie Rick" his vibration is a nice draw for her. Let's keep the focus up and stay calm and centered too so we keep the energies from going out of bounds---no good when they are wacky and un centered. OUr efforts are helping many dogs and cats too so know that in the collective of the animal kingdom our extra energies and efforts to flow over to help elsewhere. wonderful helping spirits everyone involved--- keep the focus centered and calm. It's working the process fine. Later.

What wonderful news. I am so so so happy Vivi has decided to show herself again! Good dog Vivi! Now Vivi, go and find RICK! He really wants to see you...(and "we" want to see you found safe and sound).

Yea Vivi! C'mon girl - your birthday cake is waiting! Terrie

Happy Earth day, by the way, everyone! Terrie

Maybe if everyone keeps visualizing the same picture in their minds today, RIck down in the grass and Vivi slowly approaching him. Whether you believe in the psychic stuff or not, there's always the power of positive thinking to consider....

The other positive issue we have here is that even if the sightings couldn't be confirmed, at least people are making the effort to call. Yeah!

Well when they said one sighting was seeing her running 30 miles a hour that has to be our girl.

I feel very strongy that it is Vivi. I think she is getting scent from Jil, a few eeks ago, and Rick this week. I think it is great that Rick is here. Focusing on Vivi and Rick today!

Please please please Vivi let yourself be caught today and you can go home to your people who love you.
Please!

Wonderful news! Vivi, be calm, be safe and find Rick or someone you trust. I hope the volunteers in NY who are getting the word out have a positive and rewarding day! My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

Okay, friends we are all at the point where we would stand in a corner and spit wooden nickles if that would bring Vivi home. We really need to send Vivi all the energy we can muster today to get her into Rick's arms. This is the Chinese YEAR OF THE DOG. (And hasn't Vivi proven that to us?) If you feel inclined would you say a Tibetan mantra that was taught to me by HRH Lin Yun? It is called the Calming Heart Mantra. Before and while saying it, direct the energy and words to Vivi. Visualize her heart being calmed down so she will allow herself to trust someone who will help her today. Don't worry if you don't pronounce it properly, it is the intention that is important. It should be said 9 times, aloud, as the voice adds power:

Gatay, Gatay, Para Gatay
Para Sun Gatay
Bodhi, Swa Ha

(Gatay is pronounced with the first "a" being a short a and the second "a" being a long "a".)

Also, the Chinese deity who is the equivalent of St. Francis is called Prajapati. He is the guardian angels of animals and his spiritual mission is of aiding and comforting animals in distress. If you'd feel comfortable asking him to help, please do so.

This is super news. Thank you, Bo for keeping us in the loop and thanks to the locals who are out there today.

Greatest news I've heard in ages! You go Rick!
Your little gal Vivi is waiting for you!
I'm so happy I could cry..sniff (o:

Have been away from the blog and other activities for about a week, so that I could spend extra time with my beloved boxer Annie. We let her go gently while we held her early yesterday afternoon, and while it hurts like hell to have her gone, it's at least uplifting to return to the blog to find some good news about Vivi sightings. Sending positive thoughts on this Earth Day for Vivi's speedy recovery and return to those she loves best.

PRAISE THE LORD!!!!!

Great news! Hang in there everyone! Hopefully we will have good news too from the searchers today as well. If these are confirmed, Vivi's hanging in there and will continue to "hang in there" till discovered.
As Darlene said last night... "We will find her!"
Thanks to all who are pounding the pavement in NY and all the positive feedback! YIPPPPEEEEE!!!
Tara in Ca. :-)

Awww Rebecca honey, I'm so very sorry. I know what its like to do that..Hugs to you!
MaryL-California

Rebecca.... check your e-mail...
MaryL ... tried to send you an e-mail and it said you were "not a known member" ...???
I think I have e-mailed you before ..?????
Tara in Ca :-)

Tara! It's the best news I've heard in months..They better find her, my blood pressure has been up since February...lol..I've worried about Vivi ever since I heard. I wonder if I'd be so involved if I didn't own two Whippets? Lordy, let them find her today!
MaryL-California

Rebecca, I know how hard that is to do. My deepest sympathy!

Tara, I'll put you on my mail controls, then you'll be able to send me mail...I was starting to be the porno queen of the internet with all the rotten mail I get so I blocked everyone but those on my list..
MaryL-California

Rebecca, I'm so sorry about Annie. Deepest Sympathy

Rebecca - So very sorry, I have had to go down the road several times. It never gets easier, just remember the "Rainbow Bridge".

This is a "captured" dog story with a happy ending and some inspired ideas:

http://seattletimes.nwsource.com/html/localnews/2002946175_dog22m.html

What a great story and some good ideas too. Everyone worked together toward the happy ending which will happen here too. Susan

HI everyone---it's the professional psychic here---we are VERY close now and we need to keep the momentum going---keep holding that kind person (it can be Rick too but for including endless possibilities it is the kind person), and Vivi can trust that person, and the right timing happens and the right actions happen and Vivi decides to surrender and trust in that momnet nad that person is able to contain her securely at that moment and she chooses to stay with that person and not run off---so she stays and she shifts from out to in. Vivi---time to trust and come in now. COME IN NOW! Come on Sweetie Pie---we have lots of goodies and lots of sqweaky toys!!!!!!!

Rebecca---the animal kingdon is so incredibly beautiful---it is this open meadow and the Angels are there and the scenic views are wonderful---it is so peaceful and when you arrive all the animals come to greet you and the Angels take your sweet hearts in their arms and cuddle then and welcome them for their rest time in the kingdom. Annie is at peace and she will let you know she is fine and still connected to you. When it is hard---be in the beauty of the moment that is the great peace from that divine field of a world just for them---you will feel the magic within you and your tears of sadness will turn to tears of joy for she is so very loved.

Rebecca,
My deepest sympathy to you. I have been there more than once and it hurts. No loved dog is replaceable and they never live long enough but there are many out there that need a home so when youre ready ....hang in there
HB

I just signed on and read the post - and here I sit - tears running down my face from the good news - I have a very good feeling about this for some reason.

Just as the tears start to stop, I get to Rebecca's post about her beloved Annie and the tears start again - I'm just an emotional MESS right now.

I am so sorry Rebecca for your loss - I will say an extra prayer for you and Annie tonight - and know that Annie is with you forever in spirit until you meet at The Bridge

A Prayer for Animals

Hear our humble prayer, O God, for our friends the animals,
especially for animals who are suffering;
for animals that are overworked, underfed and cruelly treated;
for all wistful creatures in captivity that beat their wings against bars;
for any that are hunted or lost or deserted or frightened or hungry;
for all that must be put death.
We entreat for them all Thy mercy and pity,
and for those who deal with them we ask a heart of compassion
and gentle hands and kindly words.
Make us, ourselves, to be true friends to animals,
and so to share the blessings of the merciful.

Schweitzer's Prayer for Animals

Sharon from Michigan, just wanted to check with you about the lost and found adds in the Courrier and the Gazette. Have you taken them out yet and if so will they start on Monday 4/24/06 for a week? Also please email with the exact verbage you used for those adds and I will check with other newspapers in the area to see what it would cost to do the same in theirs

Siri, lovely prayer. Thank you for sharing!
You've been MIA for awhile, welcome back!
MaryL-California

Rebecca, I just sent an e-mail if it makes it through. Just in case, I wanted to say how sorry I am for your loss of Annie. My heart also has broken SO MANY TIMES when I lost an animal I loved so much, and I would say "never again." Then the next sweet creature would come, I would rescue, and I would feel the same pain again later. But for each time of pain, the joy I lived with these creatures of God was worth every amount of pain I felt. You gave Annie a wonderful life, and you will see Annie again some day in Heaven. Until then, keep loving God's creatures and helping them as I know you do already.

Hugs and love from Kathleen and Tinkerbell

Someone said the best newspapers to run ads would be Newsday, New York Post & Daily News(Queen Edition).

That's the news I needed to hear. It has been hard to keep up our hopes up but it is paying off. It kinda gives us all a second wind. Come on Vivi please let yourself be caught so you can come home.
She is a very strong little girl and so very special. Hope to hear some more good news later on this weekend.

Hi MaryL

I've been checking the strings on the blog anticipating the words that Vivi, Sniffles and Biggy have been safely captured and are home now.

I don't post that much I've communicated through e-mail to some very Great people that I've met on this blog.

My candles and prayers continue as I wait for the return of the innocent doggies to their home.

You have been really involved keep up the good work.

Siri-Calif (Los Angeles)
Are you in northern Calif Mary ?

Who's up for a candle Vigil tonight, Lets say 9:00pm eastern. VIVA LA VIVI!!

Hey all, I don't blog much a nymore, too m uch
anger on the board, but last night I had reacuring
dreams about Vivi, and one was about a bridge.
She was under the bridge, and a young boy befriended her a nd brought her home. I am not
a animal psychic by any means, but these dreams
were very vivid, and you all mention the bridge
I am just praying that my dream comes true.Lets think positive. I was so h appy in this dream, and
I woke up and hugged my whippet so tight.

I'm in Rosa for the candle burning

Marty: My husband keeps saying I am going to burn down the house with my Vivi candles.. but as soon as we walked in from dinner tonight.. Guess who started to lite the candle...Yup my husband..He is officially a VIVI GROUPY!! Rosa in Mich

Karen,

check your email please

INFORMATION FOR ANYONE OUT SEARCHING FOR VIVI

Anyone out looking for ViVi I was told to tell people to sit and watch the overpasses over the Cross Island Expressway. Especially near the golf course.

Hi Marty and Rosa my candles are lit and I'm leaving for dinner.

Marty your words are always encouraging and Rosa you bring smiles to my face.

Bless you all Vivi will be home soon

Siri-Calif

I have sent Rosa and Tina's address to a few people. They could use gas cards or help for hiring laborers to hang posters. They also asked for posters with the tear-offs that I have here. I can't post their address on the blog but I can send it to you if you want to make a contribution directly to them. We obviously can't try to keep in one place like we tried to do before. Also I can send the poster. Lastly, they want us to research this: these are the flyers that companies stick in with the mail advertising all kinds of things. They want to know how much these cost for the neighborhoods in question. I think as I recall this might cost too much but it is worth a look since they specifically asked for it. The number they have for the company that prints these is 1-800 376 6222 or the local number 718-499-3916. I was thinking it might be best if someone even vaguely familiar with the neighborhoods would make that call and report back the cost. If not I'll try probably on Monday. Then Rosa and Tina will know we at least tried to honor their request. Thanks

Hi all, Just came back from queens and it is pouring outside. This little girl is hiding right now. I got some nice Big neon poster from Tina and Rosa
Karen ,those flyers that I believe you are talking about , I think are done with the post office.

Thank you all *so* very much for your words of support about our Annie. We know we did the right thing -- and the most loving thing -- for Annie, and we know that she's at peace and running carefree once again. We're finding our way through the hours, taking the moments one at a time. We have so many wonderful memories of our time with Annie, and we know that this is much harder on us than it is on her. She's perfectly content now, and the day will come when we have more happy than sad moments as we think of her. Thanks again to you all. Have a peaceful evening and weekend.

Rebecca I sent you an email..please let me know if you get it. Not sure if it will be "lost in space".

Those 2 numbers they gave me and told me to get pricing for different neighborhoods. It's an advertising company. I just thought I would call and it would be like going to the hardware store- I am supposed to get a size 3 screw and they say we have this one and this one and this one and this one...I'll call and they ask the first question and I'll either call Rosa with a report on a neighborhood in upstate New York or I will just have to say I don't know where I want to advertise and have to call them back anyway...I mean I will I just thought maybe someone else who knows Whitestone from Flushing could try first.

It is pouring here too (VA). flood warnings. I have a wet JRT/Chihuahua, my visitor on my lap shivering right now. That's tonight's excuse for my inability to type.

What is anyone hearing from the volunteers out there PLEASE? This waiting is so hard when you are so far away.

Have there been any sightings today? Do they think Vivi is finally being confined to a certain area where she might be caught?

What is being done out there? Someone if you cannot post online, PLEASE e-mail me.

Kathleen

Karen -

I know those JRT/Chihuahua babies. Tinkerbell does the same thing.

I was trying to read the blog, but had to keep looking to feed Tinkerbell my buffalo wings from Papa Johns. I think Tink ate about two-thirds of them in my excitement. I just kept feeding and feeding her! Of course, Tink loved it.

Karen please check your email.

Rebecca, never mind my post, I know you got it.

Karen, Thank you for your help.

Siri: I moved to Northern Ca about 2-1/2 years ago. I'm in what they SAY, is gold country..

Rosa, got the candle burning and burning..It's one I bought at the supermarket. It's in a tall glass thingie and I don't have longggg matches so I stuck a piece of gummy stuff in a straw, then a match on the end, and walla....I can light the candle without burning my fingers...D--mn, I'm good..
MaryL-California

Way to go MaryL!!

I think I better invest in a 3 wick jumbo candle and then pray I won't need it to lite for Vivi, because she will be found..VIVA LA VIVI!

Gail, thanks for your message. I hope my response reached you succesfully.

Does anyone know how long Rick plans on staying in New York? I hope it's at least through the weekend..

Irene, Are you out there? I just invested in a flowing chocolate fountain and a barrel of wine, just waiting for you to join me!! Rosa

Marty there is plenty for you too!!!

Even though Rick is here this weekend, i don't think he can do much in the pouring rain... I'm sure that Vivi must be trying to hid from the rain too.

It would be good if he could stay longer, but he probably can't afford to take more than a week off work. I so wish Vivi had stayed put in the area that she had been in and given Rick the chance to find her.

Wish I was there with you Rosa

Rick may not be able to do much in the rain, but let's think positive - maybe God felt Vivi (and the others out there) needed a good bath and some nice fresh water to drink.

Lighting a candle at my house too. Wish I were in New York to help. Tink and I are saying goodnight, and Rebecca we are going to say a special prayer for you, your husband and your beloved Annie.

Night everyone. Dream about Vivi!

Kathleen and Tinkerbell

Regarding lost whippets from yesterday.
Thank you to the Greyhound people who got the two Whippets in Glen Allen VA. They were found 5 miles from home and are safe. Their owners are on the way to pick them up.
The gate was left open by the cable man. Prayers do get answered.

NOW LETS FIND VIVI!

Oh Julie, thanks for the good news. Hi everyone. I always seem to catch up on this blog in time for me and everyone else to go to bed. Hope the searchers got some good info/news today. Viva La Vivi. Terrie

Julie thanks for the update, that is GREAT!!

Hi Terrie!

Julie, how did they get them, did it say?

Hi Rosa! You know, I've just had a really good feeling about this weekend - and finding Vivi. I hope it's correct. Just a real positive vibe. It would be great if she was sighted in that fort area where maybe they could put traps. God I wish we could just TRAP her! Well, night all. Terrie

Rosa@9:41, I think Rick is suppose to be here through or until Tuesday. I hope the rains stop..
I wish he could stay until he finds the girl!

Gail, I wish the Greyhound people would come to NY and catch Vivi..That would be greytttttt...
MaryL-California

OK, I didn't quite go to bed. What did the post mean "the greyhound people"? Terrie

Ah, MaryL, I hear the wild boar hunters are coming here to show us useless NY'ers how to catch a dog! LOL!

Tara from LI

If you plot all the sightings on google earth a definite circle is now complete. There are a few ouside of it or perhaps a second outer circle still partial, but there is clearly one circle. It's big but let's hope that means the area is connected and contained instead of totally random. Time will tell. If you couldn't find her right away and had to go into a long term search mode this seems to be what one would hope for over 2 months. It could be alot worse.

Terri, check Julie @ 9:54..She posted the report. I don't know who the people are, just Greyhound people! (o:
MaryL-California

Thanks Mary, I did see that, but just wasn't sure what it meant. That's OK - at least they are FOUND! We need a few of those in NY! Good night. Terrie

Tara, hey,if I didn't have a fear of flying and I could bring my dogs and on and on, I'd be in NY searching for da girl! I know of someone who does the wild boar thing..whatta bore..heh
MaryL-California

The problem with this little girl , is she does not stay long enough in one place.
If you are able to bait her with food, and know for sure she is going back to the same spot. Then you would hope you could trap her. But this is one smart little dog , a very foxy lady.

ok, duh on me, but what part of NY are the volunteers searching? I don't know NY at all..I just learned that NY people actually live in houses and not tall buildings..They have grass too! \o:
I want to check the weather forcast.
MaryL-California

I know. I am just thinking that that she has made a circle implies a certain amount of comfortableness (is that a word?) there. I am hoping that now that she has created the circle she will know where she has been before- as long as she stays in it no general area is really new to her. I hope that she start revisiting places, either back towards Collge Point or back towards the cemetery, depending on which direction she goes. Only time will tell what she does next. Very smart. Incredible really.

MaryL, the seach is in queens.
Yes , we do live in house's. Queens would consist of alot of single family homes siting on 1/4 to 5 acres of property or more. There are some apartment buildings, around.
Karen, She is making a circle. I would love for her to end up back in the cemetary.

Even though she is moving in a circle... am i right in thinking when she finds an area she likes she seems to stay in the general area for a couple of weeks then moves on. Kind of like what she just did.

I see that - it looks like she eventually will. But sometims she cuts across or backtracks. It she stays in the same direction she is heading right for it. That's why I keep thinking time will tell, but there does seem to be a pattern. It seems like if they have a week in each location there should be opportunities to set baited traps.

Karen..tell me..how the hell is this dog dodgeing the traffic? I'm in awe..

Susan! That is what appears to be happening.
Or maybe she gets spooked, and then moves on .
She, also seems to find all the grassy areas. And being on the ground and posting and seaching. I never thought, there were so many greenways, in the area. Just by a few blocks.

I think she is staying in the greenways but she is very smart too.

Linda, it's pretty amazing what's she's doing... just unfortunate coincidence that she choose to move again right when Rick gets here.
also amazing how she's negociated traffic for all this time!
