Since she left Dr. Melfi behind, actress Lorraine Bracco has been concentrating on her wine business. On Tuesday night, Nov. 11, she will be at Four Food Studio & Cocktail Salon hosting a dinner that highlights her wares. Four’s fine chef, James McDevitt, has created a delicious-sounding menu, each of whose five courses will be paired with a Bracco wine:
Kumamoto oysters with apple-ginger gelee
Bracco Pinot Grigio 2006
Braised lamb-shoulder ravioli with apricots, sheep’s milk ricotta, marcona almonds
Bracco Chianti Classico Riserva 2004
Roasted halibut with picholine olives, tomatoes and cranberry beans
Bracco Brunello di Montalcino 2003
Beef short rib and pepper-crusted lobster with celery-root puree and shaved black truffles
Bracco Amarone della Valpolicella Classico 2000
Warm chocolate truffle cake with Barolo-poached quince
Bracco Barolo 2004
The cost is $125 per person plus tax and tip. Reservations are required. Four is at 515 Broadhollow Rd. , Melville, 631-577-4444.
