If that headline confuses you, let me explain.
"Entourage" recently has been filming scenes for Season 5 in Hawaii. According to Pacific Coast News, Hawaii is doubling as Mexico for the purposes of the episode's plot. Pacific Coast News also has a bunch of photos from the set.
Forgive me for asking this, but was it really easier for a show situated in Southern California to go to Hawaii to replicate Mexico instead of just going a few miles south to the actual Mexico?
I'm probably just a bit upset for three reasons:
1) Pure jealousy
2) Mad they didn't shoot in Hawaii in late May when I'll be out there.
3) Does this mean the show's one traveling episode per season won't be in New York this time around?

I have the first episode run down over on my blog. I'm thinking the Mexican Villa is now switched to a Hawaii-n villa. Maybe not, as Vince could be filming something new over there.
The season will start out in Hawaii, where Adrian Grenier's Vince Chase is living the beach bum lifestyle. Kevin Connolly's Eric Murphy and Jeremy Piven's Ari Gold head over to Hawaii to convince Vince to come back to LA, shave his beard and make a big blockbuster movie. Vince and Turtle return, but later in the season, the boys head down to Joshua Tree in Mexico on a wild road trip. There the boys discover the meaning of life, though they "Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For".
What a great season to look forward to......

HBO’s hit comedy series Entourage finished filming on Wednesday after a 2-1/2 day shoot here. The show stars Adrian Grenier, Kevin Connolly and Jeremy Piven. The Hawaii segment has two of the main characters coming to Mexico – Hawaii is standing in for south of the border – to escape from the stress of Hollywood. The characters vacation in a beach shack where they swim and ride jet skis until their agent arrives on a seaplane to retrieve them. The main location was Waimanalo Beach Park, near where the Fantasy Island house is set, and a couple of miles off Makua Beach where jet ski sequences were filmed coordinated by Brian Keauluana.
Bow Wow is guest starring in Season 5 of Entourage.
