Entourage the book

entourage book cover

By Mark La Monica

An "Entourage" movie hinted at by Jeremy Piven recently is way off in the distance, if at all.

What is definite is the "Entourage" book. The good folks at Simon & Schuster are stepping up their game with "Entourage: A Lifestyle is a Terrible Thing to Waste."

Either wake up early and head to your local bookstore on Nov. 6, the planned release date. Heck, I've got a bunch of sick, personal and vacation days to take before Dec. 31.

Note to Boss friend Lil Jon: If you're reading this, I can feel the flu coming on around that first Tuesday in November.

Note to my dear readers: If you're reading this, with any luck, I'll get an advance copy in early October for a review here.

As for the contents of the book, here's what Simon & Schuster says:

Entourage: A Lifestyle is a Terrible Thing to Waste (Pocket Books/HBO;$30.00) will highlight what fascinates viewers about Entourage and why they return week after week.

Meet the actors who play Vince, E, Drama, Turtle, and Ari in new and
hilarious interviews. Discover how the show's story developed straight
from Mark Wahlberg's life and how the creators get the numerous
celebrities to guest-appear on the show. Through exclusive photos and
essays created for this book, the reader will get to go behind the
scenes at the most hard-to-get-into clubs and discover the outrageous
stories that make the show the most thrilling voyeuristic experience on
television. How did they get Bono to give a shout out? What clubs are
they banned from forever?

And "Entourage: A Lifestyle is a Terrible Thing to Waste" even includes a run-down of the finest, the most offensive, and the most delightful of the Ari-Lloyd, Ari-Eric,
Ari-anyone quotes.

That's nearly as good a tease as the "Medellin" trailer.

Pre-order "Entourage: A Lifestyle is a Terrible Thing to Waste"

P.S. As the book release date nears, we'll be producing an "Entourage" bookmark that you can print out and use, just in case you don't take the day off to read the entire thing in one sitting.
