THE BPL

Best Printable Line comes with the caveat of the quote being able to be reprinted for people of all ages. If not for this rule, Ari Gold would win every week. If not for this rule, I'd have been fired for dropping too many curses and lewd material in this blog.

The Big Knish

The Big Knish is awarded at the end of each season to the character the most BPLs. Here's the history so far:

Season 4: Ari Gold
Season 3.5: Drama, E
Season 3: Ari Gold, Turtle
Season 2: Johnny Drama
Season 1: Johnny Drama**

** Entourage the blog began midway through Season 2, but we went back and did the research from Season 1. Not surprisingly, Drama won that season's Big Knish, too.

Vincent Chase in Medellin

OK, now this is impressive.

Even more impressive than when the HBO folks took out a two-page ad in Entertainment Weekly congratulating "Aquaman" for breaking the opening weekend box-office record set by "Spider-Man."

The plotline for this week's episode focused on the trailer for "Medellin" being leaked on YouTube. Then, HBO showed the trailer at the end of the episode.

And yes, I checked the URL they showed in the trailer.

http://www.medellinthefilm.com

It's a pretty good Web site. But here's the really impressive part. They built a Web site for a fictional movie and have every fan of the show wondering "Could this be real?"

Well played, HBO.

As if using the hot-spot locations in Southern California as an unofficial character didn't already connect people to the show, real movie trailers for a fake movie on a scripted comedy show should do the trick.

And we'll all be in the office and on email and message boards saying "Do you think they'd really make the movie?" and "You know, they did that first episode this season on the set of 'Medellin' so maybe they actually filmed the movie and are trying to capitalize on the show's success" and "Hey, they've got a clothing deal with AG and a huge word-of-mouth following, so maybe . . . just maybe . . . "

In reality, we know it won't happen. But, just like the show says, maybe you can have it all. Or at least dream about it. That's what makes Sunday nights awesome and Monday mornings painfully awesome.

I would pay $100 to see Medellin starring Adrian Grenier. This "fake" movie looks incredible.

I'm glad E finally stepped up and took a shot at Walsh. He should have choked him out.

can someone tell me what the song at the credits was?

They totally made this movie. There is just wayyy too much detail in this trailer for them not to have made it.

MY guess is it will air on HBO and probably be only 30-45minutes long.

That trailer was better then 3/4 of the trailers I've seen for 'real' movies. If they don't make this, they're missing out big time and I'd be furious

Trailer was insane...I'd definitely see that movie.

I recently became addicted to this blog and it's the only bright spot of my Monday morning. :)

mark, did you catch the Newsday story on the hug it out stick up man? That bodes poorly for Cannes, no?

Medellin - The Pablo Escobar Story.....It's not a movie, It's a life.

Great episode, great Medellin shirt for sale at

(written as if I were living in the Entourage world):

I dunno, guys... I'm really let down. I heard that Vinnie C was going to put on the weight for the role (ya know, before he couldn't take the role and Del Toro flirted with it) and here it looks like he's just wearing a fat suit!

I dunno if I would watch this thing over Aquaman 2 or not...

Craig, thanks for that tshirt website referral. I just bought a SUITS SUCK shirt. Same one Billy Walsh wore this past week. Here is the link.

I think it was Cold War Kids "Passing the Hat"...awesome.

I saw this mashup of the trailer with Tony Clifton. It's pretty funny, the two do kinda look alike. But I'd still see a Medellin movie with Vincent Chase nonetheless!

i saw the trailer after tonights episode, and honestly, i hope this isnt real. AG's spanish is horrible. like, really really bad. if it had a chance of becoming a real movie, we wouldve known by now

the funny thing is I actually seen the trailer before it came out on the show. I checked youtube when i heard someone leaked it and it was there.. kinda scary but a lil cool none the less.

according to the show, what E said, that 6 more weeks is all he could deal with billy. these 6 weeks would be the rest of the episodes for season 4. i think the last episode before the finale will the boys goin to canne and then the finale will actually be medellin. it wont be so long it would be an hour long which is perfect for a season finale. also just as a side point, medellin has been the basis of this season- they dont have a house anymore cuz they spent all their money on medellin and the early episodes of this season have actually been on the set of medellin. i dont think they would have taken it that far unless they were actually making the movie. FINGERS CROSSED!!!

My choice to play the late drug czar Pablo Escobar would have to be the great Latin actor Benicio Del Torro. Who else can bring the kind of depth needed to make a ruthless killer sympathetic?

Does anyone know the song in the season finale in CAnnes when Johnny is on the beach searching for the blonde?
