Random pre-finale thoughts
By Mark La Monica
Season Three comes to a close this Sunday, which is quite a sad moment. It means the summer is just about over and we have no idea if any of the new primetime shows will be any good.
Hopefully, some of you were smart enough to keep at least a few of the 12 episodes saved on your TiVos and DVRs.
Some thoughts as we await the finale of "Entourage":
- Firing Ari seems to be an end-of-season tradition on the show.
- He may get canned, but we know he won't be off the show. He's too vital to the on-screen dynamic and to the overall success of the show.
- Turtle or Ari? Who will take home the Big Knish as winner of the "Best Printable Line" season title? This is nail-biting.
- Will Reggie and Jay return E's Maserati to the dealership before the lease expires at the end of August?
- If there are eight more episodes set to air some time early next season, will they package that as Season 4? Season 3 1/2? This could affect DVD complete season purchases later in life.
- If Sloan and E are really dating, they never seem to spend much time together.
- Vince loses more jobs than a secretary in a temp agency, so I'm guessing somehow the Ramones project will work out nicely for him.
- I still want to be able to buy tickets to Queens Boulevard, the black & white version.

Other random throughts:
-Whatever happened to the slew of Aston-Martins Vince bought for everyone a few episodes ago?
-Did Dom get the Hummer outright, or just the right to drive it until the lease expires, a la Reggie and Jay?
-The Ramones project has to work out for Vince. He's one failed project away from becoming a "true Hollywood story"
-My guess is the Edward Burns pilot doesn't get picked up, for the same reason the Saigon thing didn't work out. Too distracting to have characters with lives separate from Vince; which only further bolsters the point above about the Ramones project. B-list has-beens don't have an entourage...
Mark,
Great blog and I am very happy I found it. Let's hope Jeremy wins his much deserved Emmy Sunday night and the Season Finale is a good one
I feel like Doug Ellin has to tie Dom back into either the season finale or season 3 1/2. The character has so much backing just because every viewer despises him that theres alot of plot potential the producers could bring out from him.
Other random thoughts: Who else wants Vince to get Medellin back?
Ari can't leave. I love Lloyd too much! I was so happy Ari finally found a decent side-kick. We can't lose Lloyd!
