ABC: Homeland Security in Primetime
We are surely about to witness a strange, strange January, and as evidence - this from ABC: "Homeland Security USA."
Read this logline for the newbie that arrives Jan. 6 at 8:
"Every day the men and women of the Department of Homeland Security patrol more than 100,000 miles of America’s borders. This territory includes airports, seaports, land borders, international mail centers, the open seas, mountains, deserts and even cyberspace. Now viewers will get an unprecedented look at the work of these men and women while they use the newest technology to safeguard our country and enforce our laws, in “Homeland Security USA,” which debuts with the episode “This is Your Car on Drugs."
I'm informed that it's based on an Aussie hit, and will be produced by Arnold "Big Brother" Shapiro.

This country was founded on the premise that all men are created equal, i.e. that every individual is entitled to certain inalienable rights. The racist notion that whites are not bound to respect others' rights was codified in the 1850 Dred Scott decision, and was a stain on our nation's charter. Fortunately, it was overturned in a consitutional manner and is 180 degrees different from what Americans believe and practice today.
The laws that DHS enforces are laws to protect the liberty of people of all races, ethnicities and backgrounds, following the country's founding principles. It has taken generations to live up to these principles, but we are arriving there, and shine as an example to the world. DHS employees are not, contrary to Robert L. Davis' 21:32 post, brutal thugs à la SS, but rather dedicated professionals intent on enforcing laws arrived at in a democratic fashion. People are trying to sneak into this country from most other countries. Please compare our border guards' professionalism, honesty and workload with those of any other country, at any time in history.
If you think our border restrictions are too tight, that is a policy issue made on Capitol Hill. DHS only acts with the laws and resources provided them.
No, I don't work for DHS. In fact, I don't even really like them that much. But you have to honest and responsible in your comments.
I hope ABC removes this show immediately. I found it to be very disturbing to see Mexican security agents monitoring Mexican illegals. It was done it almost a joking manner with a lot of bravado. The problem was that after all the man hours and money spent. Chasing illegals across the desert for what reason? Let them lay there and die. They stopped one vehicle and the guy had kidnapped a girl to bring her to the US for prostitution. He had her lying across the vehicle behing the seat and her head was actually under the drivers seat where he was sitting. Nothing was done to these people. One vehicle had over 50 kilos of packaged Marijuana and he received 3 years probation. What a ludicrous joke. Homeland security on the Canadian border the lady security officer was so proud of her great find of over 53 lbs. of cocaine. They do nothing to these people. You know what they would do to someone living here for those charges. They should get rid of most of the agents and put landmines outside our borders.
They need to show them hunting down illegal aliens that have not commited any crimes other than being here illegally to really make this an unbiased look at Homeland Security. They need to show the innocent American children that go through the hardship of lossing one or both parents to deportation. This show disgusts me. Show the stories your trying to keep secret from the public. No one is illegal. When my great grand parents emigrated here from Western Europe their was no such thing as an illegal immigrant. We need to cancel this show. Stop punishing innocent people for wanting a better life for themselves and their children. Thank you.
I want to tell Honest American that the only responsible for what
is happening to the inocent children are the PARENTS, they pay
thousands of $$$$ to be smuggled to this Country,they know
that the Mexican Counsulates will give them fake ID they can go
to Bank of America, Wells Fargo the housing crisis was help by
illegals too!!!!they just want to come and repreduce "ANCHOR
BABIES"or jackpots babies, to get all free services they can get,
they won't assimilate BUT they know were is the Medical Office,
WIC, housing,etc.etc.maybe Honest American's great grand
parents think different about this Country, maybe they felt they;re
were AMERICANS, not like this illegals marching with they're
ridiculuos "no human is illegal" and theyre Mexican flag,
disrispecting OUR OLD GLORY!!! Keep up the good job

Why does this show keep getting replaced with other shows???
I have only been able to see three episodes out of a total of what
was suppose to be eight episodes. Go figure, You get an interesting
show to watch & somebody goofs it up.
If there was no such thing as an illegal immigrant, then why did they have to go through Ellis Island?
Immigrants crossing the desert with their children, should then also be subject to child abuse laws, but they aren't.
They get away with crimes, why? because they're illegal? If you or I took our kids into the desert and got them so dehydrated that they needed hospitalization, we'd be hung out to dry and we'd lose our kids.
This happens every summer.
Honest american? Let's be honest then.... Illegal immigration is NOT good for the economy.
That hospitalization they require for their valiant, (yet very stupid) walk across the desert isn't free.
Hospitals have to care for them. Who pays? Taxpayers. If you'd like to cover my share, then fine. Till that day happens.
