Katie Blasts Hill Media Coverage

Well, ya missed last night's "Evening News" and that's too bad 'cause Katie (again) came to Hill's defense; she decried the media's sexist coverage of the candidate, etc., saying that...well, watch for yourself. But I wonder: Did Katie miss the whole point? Wasn't the media - rightfully - astounded at a campaign that refused to end, even when the end was a foregone conclusion? And weren't the absolutely harshest critics WOMEN?! I'm talking Maureen Dowd (NYT) and Peggy Noonan (WSJ). Go ahead, Katie. Read what they had to say. (Question: Can women be sexist when discussing other women? I suppose, but...) Anyway, I've gotta run. Rach is on the other line. We're talking about last night's brilliant performance...

You know what? Katie Couric is not wrong, you can name a number of women that also bashed Hillary, clearly Republicans that would bash their mother if she was running on the Democratic ticket. The entire primary campaign was preordained from the minute Mr. Obama made his announcement to run. It's clear in this country that women are still the true second class citizens and that the boy's club is as strong as ever no matter what color or religious affialation. American would rather have a male terrorist or a pre alzhemiers patient for president than any woman. I'll back Hillary if she runs in 2012, 2016, 2020, 2024 or until she's put in the nursing home. She'd still be the better president.

Wake up cha-cha (the above poster). The women that bashed Hillary were writers for the Ne York times and The Wall Street Journal. Two of the most Liberal and Democratically backed newspapers. What exacatly has Hillary done for the State of New York? Absolutely Nothing! It's wackos like you who don't have a clue about politics who voted her in as a Senator. Face it, the country is tired of the Clintons. You and the rest of the Hillary cronies have forgotten that she was the first lady to a President who left office in disgrace. History will always show that Bill Clinton was IMPEACHED. My advice to Hillary is to go back to Kansas. Oh sorry, she's no longer welcome there! Go riddance Hillary, don't let the door hit you in the backside on your way out!

FYI - the Wall Street Journal is not considered liberal.

S

certainly not as liberal as Hillary.

Alright Katie !! ... you go girl !!! ... YOU ARE ABSOLUTLY RIGHT !!! good for you, someone finally tells it like it is !!

Hey Riles, it was Arkansas, and you forget that Bill Clinton was impeached over him having an affair, not for whitewater wrongdoings that the republicans used our tax dollars to sniff around and got nothing but sex. The media in general treats that con man from Illinois much different than any of the other candidates especially Hillary. Was it wrong for her to continue her campain no because it is still her right to run until it was officially over. Until the Convention the Superdelegates can switch their votes to anybody else they like. Unfortunately, this country wont wake up because 8 years ago, they believed the change with compassionate conservatism, and now they believe this nonsense that the con man is going to bring change, unless its in his pocket i dont buy it

This is incredible - but not unbelievable - Couric could & would exhibit such poor judgement.

Worse, she comes off sounding like Rich Dutrow, the clueless, pathetic horse trainer of the failed favorite of the Belmont Stakes, Big Brown. His ridiculous post-race alibis and finger-pointing has revealed the narcissism that has proven fatal to both the conditioner and the news-reader.

CBS should count its blessings; Couric's exit is imminent. But thanks to the anything-goes NYRA management, New York State's racing fans will be stuck with Dutrow's identical juvenile antics & pronouncements for a long time to come.

Courage.

Thanks Katie, now there is nothing standing in my way...I'll be back on the air in no time!

Courage.

Katie,

Where were you when I was being driven to Fort Marcy Park, in Virginia? Can you review my autopsy report? The media did me wrong too.
Are you kidding me? You and Hillary are a lot a like. Both of you think your stuff doesn't stink. Well, guess what? Who cares what you think. Based on the number of people watching your newscasts, I think your, like mine was, demise is imminent. You and her are both crybabies.

Here's a suggestion for you. Get yourself shacked up with the young man friend of yours and tell him how good you are.

Who would have thought they would have found a nut to replace a nut. I hope they fire you.

Lets see....

Clinton began her quest for the party's nomination with every single poll indicating about 48% of the general population saying they would never vote for her.

I suspect any candidate with such huge opposition in the general populace would receive much the same treatment.

It seems the media treated Clinton more as a republican than as a woman.

I would suggest if someone like Margaret Thachter were running, she would receive much better treatment... but then again, she would likely be a republican aslo.

I agree with Katie's assesment of the media. I was in New Hampshire days before the primary and the media stood on its head to slime Hillary and kept indicated that the polls showed she wazs losing. Guess what-she won. But the media continued throughout this country. I know Hillary has done quite a bit for New Yorkers and at least has made decisions and voted yes or no. Some people want to put Obama into the position of leader when the guy can not commit to voting yes or no in the Senate. He votes present. What is wrong with this picture. Does the democratic party just want a puppet in office so they can pull the strings-Hillary wouldn't let them do that so they made sure she would not get the nomination. I am not waiting till 2012 o vote for her-I am writing her name on my ballot in November and telling the Democratic party to go shove it.

I did not have sex with that women. Everyone is against us! Why? Because I went after a much younger piece of ass. Im just like every other guy. Hillary has done the same thing. She had extra marital affairs with Monica. So what! Now you will see Katie and Hill togther as I go and try to save some other countries. We will get you next time. Next time, we are going to have Rev Al Sharpton as our running mate and then you will really be screwed and yall know how much I like to screw

First of all, the WSJ Op-Ed page is anything but liberal or unbiased. It ruins an otherwise excellent periodical. Second, the shame is on the runaway jury Congress who elected to impeach a President against the wishes of a majority of Americans and third, it's a miracle that an African American was able to secure the nomination. Studies have shown that the generally liberal attitudes Americans espouse in telephone polls and surveys morphs into something quite different when they enter the supposed privacy of the voting booth. Why don't we just run that sweet lil' darlin' Katherine Harris for President? Good ol' G-Dub owes her one---no, he owes her two.
