Never been a member of a boy band. Never will be. The world - and I - can be thankful for that. But that doesn’t mean I can (and do) have an opinion on Sean “Diddy” Comb's newest edition of “Making the Band.” (MTV at 8.) It's boring. It’s tired. It’s listless. Two editions in (second one tonight), and what are the major concerns of our would-be Dids? Weight. Cheese sandwiches (grilled variety.) Posture. Sometimes it all feels like a workout video. At other times like a confessional. But the fact remains - this "Band" is bland, and even Diddy - on his very rare appearances - seems blasé. He’s pure been-there-done-that.
And of course, he has been there and done that, which may be the problem. Four editions old, this "Band" features the first all-male one, and the guys do seem like good guys - in awe of Diddy and the fact they are HERE and so is HE (sometimes). There's some celeb judges on hand too (New Edition's Michael Bivens, for one) but they don't seem overly-exercised about the whole spectacle either. So if they aren’t, should viewers be?

Watch or avoid: Granted, "Band" fans - this show takes time to build, while "MTB 3" did well for MTV and its progeny all-girl "Danity Kane." But tough to carve out the time for "MTB 4;" this edition is for true-blue believers only.

Tonight's Making the Band 4 episode - was TOO MUCH EGO for this fan!! After "firing" Laurie Ann and being sure that once again EVERYONE knows the show is about "SUPER DIDDY" - I for one was dissappointed! Once again we see that "Diddy" will never be part of a "group/team" - unless he's the boss!! Clearly he is ALL about HIMSELF, yet he tries to pick and choose young men to become a part of a "group". He's certainly NOT leading by example! I was appauled by his behavior and treatment of Laurie Ann and thought the young men he sent home tonight...were some of the best. This Making the Band fan and former Diddy fan truly got irritated by his behavior tonight. Maybe that stuff makes for good ratings...OR maybe Diddy has stuck a sour chord this time. Maybe they should re-name the show the "MAKING THE BAND B-4 DIDDY'S EGO TOOK OVER"!!!! I for one, am dissappointed in his behavior and his choices tonight.

I think Diddy is to focus on the way someone looks. In reality that's really not the case if you can sing and please the crowd,I don't think size matters.Their are alot of not so cute singers who is making lots of money,so that shows that looks really doesn't matter.I think Mike got what it takes.Diddy is to focus on his weight though.That might be why the other group aren't doing to well.
Diddy is doing a great job. It's so exciting. But diddy was wrong for sending julus and carlos home. Diddy please have some heart.
