What a day, what a day, what a day (or night) it is Wednesday on CNN.
Larry King has Paris Hilton. And Anderson Cooper has Dr. Sanjay Gupta, who does Michael Moore. Who needs a “CSI: NY” rerun?
King is expected to throw his usual softball questions the way of the recently sprung ex-con/heiress in one of his “exclusive” interviews on “Larry King Live,” though even those may be enough to knock poor Paris for a loop in the 9 p.m. hour.
Then on “Anderson Cooper 360” Wednesday at 10, Dr. Gupta, our favorite TV medical stud (sorry, ex-LI “Survivor” guy Dr. Sean Kenniff), does a “fact check” on Moore’s new health-industry take-down documentary “Sicko.” CNN says “Dr. Gupta picks the film apart to determine what's on target and what may be over the top.” What, Michael Moore, engaging in hyperbole? Can this be so?
AC, being the modern man that he is, not only hosts a nightly program, but does podcasts (love that macho-man photo pose on the web page) and even has a blog. Colleagues post more entries than he does, but you’ll be thrilled to know AC did take the time to personally lay down ground rules for presidential campaign theme songs. (“No entries from Journey, Leo Sayer or Sheena Easton will be considered. OK, maybe Leo Sayer.”)
Overdose at will.
UPDATE!: How weird is this? I had no idea when posting the item above that CNN's booking of Paris Hilton on Wednesday's "Larry King Live" involved bumping the scheduled guest, who was -- Michael Moore!
Moore now gets his "Sicko" hour with King on CNN Friday night at 9.
Their separated-at-birth saga continues . . .
