BEST OF 2007: Top Singles #25-21 (Envy on the Coast, Lily Allen, Keyshia Cole, M.I.A., Chamillionaire)

25. Envy on the Coast, “The Gift of Paralysis” (Photo Finish): The pride of Long Island offers rage and healing in the same catchy package.

24. Lily Allen, “Knock Em Out” (Capitol): Allen weaves a hilarious tale about a night out at the bar and unwanted attention that manages to be upbeat enough to be played at said bar.

23. Keyshia Cole feat. Missy Elliott and Lil Kim, “Let It Go” (Imani/Geffen): Missy says it all with her latest catch phrase, “Damn, that’s hot.”

22. M.I.A., “Paper Planes” (XL/Interscope): Coming from the mostly frantic “Kala,” the loping, laid-back “Paper Planes” stands out even more than its controversial sounds of gunfire.

21. Chamillionaire, “Hip Hop Police” (Universal): It’s like “99 Problems” for the underclass and almost as addictive, even before Slick Rick makes his remarkable appearance.
