I'm glad that Tyra Banks did this and stated that the credentials for winning a presidency is that YOU'RE BLACK and not anything else!!!. This goes to show you that too many people believe this. Those who listen and follow Tyra Banks are not using their brains and only playing the race card. It's disgusting.

If race is not a deciding factor in this election, then why do the Obama's insist on being the black version of JFK? There is only one JFK and yes, he was white. Deal with it. If Obama wants to be the next president, he should make his own unique legacy that isn't based on his minority. Don't be a copy-cat. This kind of publicity is the main reason why I hesitate to vote for Obama.

Dear Ivy,

I want to begin by saying that when someone is successful at something and stands for the things you stand for, it is a very smart thing to learn from what they did and glean from that wisdom. You save alot of time in life when you go that route instead of being so prideful that you have to waste your life reinventing the wheel. That principle has NOTHING to do with race. All of us, including Michelle and Barack are quite aware of JFK's ethnicity so there is nothing for any of us to "get over." The heart, vision, freshness and class of the Obama's is quite their own and they have wisely implemented and picked up on some of the things that the Kennedy's did well also. The mission of the Kennedy presidency was cut short and finally, we have someone with a similar passion for this era-thank God! You saying that they are trying to be "black versions" of them speaks more to your own racism than anything else because it has nothing to do with race. The Obama's are very intelligent and able to lead this country which is why they are in the position they are in. If a clip of Tyra Banks and a male model taking some pretty photos in their honor makes you doubt if you should vote for Obama than please don't!! Keep it simple and just take a good look at the abilities, heart and vision of the candidates and make a personal decision. The things you are upset over are just the trivial petty extras that occur during any election in various forms. This election is pulling the covers off of the racism that many of us have in our own hearts and hopefully we will all look in the mirror, face those demons and come together to make positive changes in our country no matter who our leader ends up being after November.

Obama is the most patheic candidate for president since Nader. I know many people are disenchanted with our current leadership, but please buy a clue! What exactly, is his list of accompishments? He is a self asborded narcarist, giving america the hard sell. Anyone who buys into his lies clearly watch too much American Idol. The man, is fluff. A media darling sure, but devote of any real character. A fake smile, some good face, to go along with his empty promises. WAKE up America! This freshman senator is going to bridge the aisle in congress and get things done? No president, since and including GW himself have been able to do this. I'm sure the 99 other senators, most having more experience and politcal battle scars then he, will gladly bend to his will. I know the idea of a minority president is appealing to some, give hope to the hopeless etc, but wake up. He is a spoiled rich kid playing King. He is an elitist socialite with a false sense of entitlement.

HE REFUSES TO PLEDGE ALLEGIANCE TO OUR FLAG AND NOW HAS EVEN TAKEN THE FLAG OFF OF HIS PRIVATE PLANE. WHO WANTS THIS GUY WHO PLEGES HIS ALLEGIANCE TO THE KORAN TO BE OUR PRESIDENT. WE ARE G I V I N G OUR COUNTRY AWAY TO THE TERRORISTS, LITTLE BY LITTLE AND THIS GUY I AM SURE IS ONE OF THEM.

John McCain has had one government job his entire adult life as Senator. He said he does not know anything about the economy. What did he do in the senate all those years? Barack has the credentials and experiences I want my president to have. He did not spend his entire adult life in Washington.

What an outburst of ignorance. Clearly, you have done no research on your own, instead you have allowed yourself to become educated, and influenced by the media. In doing so, you have become so brainwashed that you have no idea how misguided and mislead you really are. Senator Obama has written two books, Audacity of Hope and Dreams from My Father, it would help if you took the time to read them. In doing so, you will find out that he is not a terrorist or muslim and that, unlike George and Barbara Bush, he came from very humble beginnings and worked his way up to where he is today, which is actually very impressive.

Are you kidding me? To say that black people only want to see Obama elected as president because he is black is ridiculous. Am I then to assume that whites are only voting for McCain because he is white? Am I also to assume that only whites are capable of possessing experience? If one were to look through the annals of history and take note of all of our past white male protestant presidents (with the exception of JFK), one would certainly arrive at the conclusion that the only thing that has influenced white America's voting decisions would be race. If you all would stop flapping your gums for one second, you would notice that 1) neither of the Obamas are depicted in the photo shoot and 2) the opinions expressed as those of Tyra Banks and the creative vision of the photographer, neither of which are members of the Obama family. All of you detractors have spent more time talking about race than either of the Obamas. So much for your living in a color blind society. I think you all see race a little too much since none of you can imagine this country being presided over by a man who happens to be half black.

I was a Hillary supporter and when I realized that I would not be able to vote for the candidate that I thought would make the best president of the US... I did my research and read both of Obama's books. I wanted to believe in him because I have a strong family history of voting for democrates. I also have voted for a democate in each and every election since I was 18 (I'm now 42). However, I will not be voting for Obama--- I don't believe in him, I don't believe he has the experience to be in this high position of power, and I don't like his voting record (or lack of it) in congress

It's fine if you don't want to support Obama, but I have a hard time believing your background story. If it were true, I don't see how you could misspell the word DEMOCRAT, TWICE. Either, you're a Rethug-lican posing as a Hillary supporter or you are one of the "uneducated" voters that Hillary bragged only she could attract and not Obama. If the second part is true then Hillary was right and I stand corrected, however, I think you fall under the first part of my statement and you're a poser. Thanks anyway!

Wat is wrong with some of you people. Yall are bashing obama. But look who he is running aganist. Rather yall like i tor not obama is the lesser of two evils to a point. He has better ideas and plans that McCain. He is also less likely to die in office unlike McCain. His campaigns ads are better and he interacts with the people better. I love diversity, it exposes many things....mainly, it exposes fear of change. Many people in the U.S. feel comfortable with an Anglo male as President...even if he was a member of the KKK.

I just want to see the under belly of Slavery exposed if Barack Obama is elected, I don't need reparations, just the release of all documentation that the U.S. goverment filed away to hide all the financial corruption associated with such a horrid institution.

Such as Census records with the actual African names and location of Slave Schedules in 1700 - 1850's. The insurance, shipping and financial companies involved in human bondage.

So, people are not afraid of the Obamas, they are afraid of the possibilty that they may start digging into the sordid past to expose atrocities upon Black people....the Tyra Banks photos only scare them more.
