Reports: Kevin Federline gets full custody of kids

britneyspears.jpgPop star Britney Spears and ex-husband Kevin Federline settled a custody battle over their two young sons, according to People magazine.

It seems Britney was unable to prove she's fit to be a full-time mom to Preston, 2, and Jayden, 1. K-Fed will get sole custody under their agreement and the deal will have to be signed off by the court. Britney will retain her visitation rights, consisting of two visits and one overnight stay each week, according to People.

"The case has been settled," Federline's attorney, Mark Vincent Kaplan, told E! Online. "The court still has to approve it."

What's your take? Do you think the outcome is fair?

It's almost like the courts believe what's printed in the tabloids. Sorry, those children should not be in total custody of the children,it should be equal custody.

Sorry typo, the children should not be in total custody of Federline

OMG! Those poor kids have to grow up with their family very personal information in every paper. I wish the photographers, etc would stay out of their lives already.

I guess the lesser of two evils prevail here. I have to agree with the settlement. How could anybody in their right mind allow Britney Spears to retain full custody? She isn't even in full custody of herself right now! She is a mess.

It's not fair she should get the 1 night a week visit & plus every other weekend visit allowing the kids to sleep over. Plus alternate holidays, etc. I'm a fulltime divorced mother of a youing boy myself & I have full custody.

How did he manage to get full custody if he's doing the same garbage she is?

seriously, are you guys judging their parenting ability based on what you read in the tabloids and see on TV? how exactly do you know that either one of them is REALLY an unfit parent?

Obviously the judge follows the letter of the law. It should be pretty easy for Spears to prove to the judge that what is in the tabloids isn't real. But she didn't and couldn't.
If the judge was only following the tabloids Spears lawyers would be calling foul right now and demanding an appeal. The silence from their camp is deafening and very telling.

Wait a minute------does the public really still care about this? I'm not sure what's sadder here.

My take is that this is an extremely appropriate outcome. The "rich and famous" young women of our time are having kids likened to buying designer dogs. It's what's in. Shame on them and their families.
