Miss USA Crystle Stewart falls down on the job

Let's review:
- The world hates America these days because of its miraculously woeful foreign policy under the Bush Administration.
- The U.S. of A. is NOT the defending gold medalist in men's basketball at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing.
- The U.S. dollar is barely worth a nickel compared to a few years ago.
- Canada hates us because we stopped visiting Montreal and other touristy towns to the north because the exchange rate doesn't favor Americans anymore.
And now -- for the second year in a row, no less -- Miss USA, the supposed beacon of beauty and All-American good girl-ness, falls down during the Miss Universe pageant. Miss USA Crystle Stewart of Texas was in the top 10 at that point but tripped on her evening gown's train as she made her entrance upon the grand stage.
I mean, honestly. Is there no justice left for America? Has our penance not been served in the list above? Can't we at least have a Miss USA who can walk in high heels on the grandest stage of her career?
Seriously, she has two jobs to do: Smile and don't do anything stupid. OK, sure, she's hot and looks good during the swimsuit portion of the competition, but is staying upright while walking in heels too much to ask? Was she chewing gum at the same time?
While batting .500 will get you into the baseball hall of fame, in the pop culture entertainment world, it gets you 15 minutes of unwanted publicity.
What's next, Thanksgiving was invented by Australians? July 4 actually happened on July 5th all those years ago? Francis Scott Key lifted the lyrics for our national anthem from a Diddy track? Apple pie is really made with apricots? Betsy Ross had no fingers?
Please, America, let's gain a bit of our integrity back. Right now, our faces are covered in egg and the world doesn't have the decency to make us an omelet.

It's just like any accident that can happen to everyone..But the thing according to my vibration or may say a prediction that USA should be careful in choosing their next President..he should not be black.. or worse than worse may happen..But Obama will soon be the next leader...Im just praying for all the best.

Miss USA was projected to be the winner this year, however with her slip up, that was taken away.....Oh well she's hotter than any of the people posting in here I'm sure.
She got a 92 on the swimsuit - if she had worn a different gown and put more into her walk - she would have made the top 5

I agree bad press can sometimes be good press for one. She handled it pretty well, but @ the same time looked a little bit staged. ... For those few moments more than the others, all eyes, cameras, video, etc were on her..

This is show that USA country is falling down. No one on the world would like the USA. They are very happy when they saw miss USA falling because USA is always control everyone on the world.
My two cents:
1. I could not believe it when Miss USA fell flat for the second year in a row. I felt sorry for Miss Stewart, she looks to me like a well prepared and good spirited candidate. USA people should really take this seriously as a prophetic warning from God, and not simple coincidence. The message looks clear: "Change your ways, or you will fall!"
2. What's up with all that "Miss Muscles" that americans are selecting lately as their ideal of beauty?. Where you left the feminine american girl? Replaced by the "macho" girl? I mean, What is the final prize here, a beauty crown or a gold medal? USA, remember these are beauty contests, not olympic or muscle competitions! And the required shoes here are heels, not sneakers!
Why is it when a black american male/female, who behold strong confident in themself is called having a cocky attitude.. ..white american hold the same attitude. Try understand the culture or better yet i wish you could walk a day 1 or 2 in the shoes of a black american male/female. She was awesome and she even had the common sense to laugh about it. However, it seems as though she was being RUSHED by dumb Jerry Springer. Why was he calling her name like that???? That would make anyone a little shaking. The pagent overall was not that good because of the hosts. Donald Trump what in the hell were you thinking. We are proud of you Miss USA and Springer you messed it up!!!! Dumb ass.
Crystle is a fabulous, intelligent, beautiful woman! I was supporting her from day one - from Ms. USA to Ms. Universe. There are some things we will just never know. If she had not fallen, she might have won the crown, or she might not. Who knows? But, she got back, and she kept on moving! Way to go diva! You will always be my "true" ms. universe 2008 Crystle Stewart!
And if you watched the pageant, you may have realized the cheography was a bit off! When Jerry Springer announced her entrance the first time, she was unable to make her way through because of the performing artists on the show, who was in her way. The cheography was just not right!
They say "many a truth is said in jest". The most significant thing said in this blog is the image of America. We have become known as the "bullies" of the world. We are not seen as strong or helpful but as a country who does not honor the united nations guidelines against torture. We threaten all who want to build nuclear weapons and still seek additional money from congress to build more .(We already have enough to destroy the world a dozen times over).
Americans who have never traveled or lived abroad have a false belief that we are the best of everything,;have the best of everything....this is a far cry from the truth. I've been to 44 countries and have made many observations. We have the highest infant immortality rate in the world, have the poorest education when tested next to pretty much anyone. We do not care for our sick, our homeless, the aged. We are gluttonous with energy and food and killed over 2 million people in the name of Christianity in 2.000 years and refuse to acknowledge 70% of the world is non Christian. In fact, 57% of the world is Asian and only 30%, that's 3 out of every ten people, is white.
Perhaps Miss America fell because we as Americans have fallen down in our place in the world. I challenge all of us to learn tolerance and kindness and remember in our every action we are an ambassador of our country in the eyes of all that watch.
Whoever the angry black person was.....it's spelled confidence!!! Not confiDENTS....hahahahah. I think Miss USA rocked it!! She should have won in spite of her fall. She's the best I've seen for a long time........
The minute I saw her fall, I knew ignorant people from other countries would have a field day laughing at us. America has been going through ALOT of stuff lately but I believe we will overcome it. But some people are looking way too in to this. SHE JUST FELL. That's that. Miss Universe should be what it is, just a pageant. And not a G8 conference.

She was a beautiful and gracious contestant; though she fell, she made me proud to be American...she represented!

Ok First of all, it's a pagent, but it's not as easy as it looks and sounds.
It could have happened to any one, because if you watched it you would of seen other contestants also slipping here and there.
See they wax the floors and wax with high heels do not mix.Ok maybe the other girls did ok, but al least she stood up, knowing what happened, but also giving a better show, she smiled the whole time.
So maybe before someone actually saying anything about that you should keep in mind how much sacrifice she put into everything and how much she tried.

I think she handled the fall with grace and style. Yes, it likely caused her to not win, but she has class nonetheless.

I know Crystal Stewart, and she will do bigger things than win Miss Universe. She is one girl who will change the world with her great attitude, huge heart, strong beliefs and intelligence. She is a world-class athlete, a college graduate and was the owner of her own business at age 24.
Not to worry - there will always be room at the top for Crystal Stewart. If Donald Trump has any brains at all, Crystal will be the next Oprah Winfrey - however a million times more motivational and she will always be real.
Here in Texas, Crystal Stewart is always a winner. We love you!!! After losing Miss Texas several times and coming back to not only win Miss Texas, but take Miss USA and place in the top 10 at Miss Universe??? There is no stopping this young woman, her dreams are bigger than another Miss title. Her beauty and strength don't come from the title or the crown - they come from within - she will be a winner always. Congratulations Crystal!

I saw the pagent from "head to toe." Miss USA was not that hot and to my opinion, Miss Vietnam looked way better. And yes, as hard as it may come to some, people around the world were very happy to see her fall. Someone in my house said it was "The Bush Curse". She did handle it well thougt and I congratulate her on that!.

Miss USA still scored an 8.0 even after falling, lol. She looked absolutely incredible in her dress and swimsuit. I think she was in second place after the swimsuit competition, trailing only Miss Venezuela. I think she would have won had she not fallen. She's an absolutely gorgeous looking woman.
