With The Howard Stern Show on vacation this week, all has been mum on the Artie Lange front.
The show adjourned Friday with Lange, Stern's longtime comedian on the show, tendering his resignation and Stern accepting.
The resignation came after Lange lashed out at his personal assistant on the air over several issues, most notably money.
A request for information from Sirius was not returned, but Robin Quivers, a fixture on Stern's show for more than 20 years, appeared on Fox's "Good Day New York" to promote a charity function.
On the show, Reid Lamberty asked Quivers about the in-studio squabble. Stern's newsreader addressed claims and theories that the bit was staged to generate interest in the Sirius Satellite Radio show, saying "I only wish it was [a publicity stunt] because then we'd be having a good time with it. But it was a very real experience."
Quivers said listeners would have to tune into the show on Monday to hear how the situation has developed.
Lamberty and Quivers then went on to talk about her relationship with comedian Jim Florentine that transpired on air, her drastic weight loss and her charity, Girls Night Out.
