SBA offers help on government contracts

Small businesses who want help navigating the federal contracting network now have a new Small Business Administration online course to turn to.

The SBA has launched “Business Opportunities: A Guide to Winning Federal Contracts” to help small businesses obtain contracts to do business with the federal government.
The course is especially designed for those businesses in underserved areas and those owned by women, enterprises that have historcially found it difficult to tap the federal contracting market, currently valued at $400 billion, the SBA said.

“Federal contracts offer many opportunities for small businesses, and this training program will help prepare firms to benefit from federal buying markets,” said the SBA’s administrator Steve Preston.

The course includes more than 40 links to the best contracting resources.
