Are you wondering how American Home's customer satisfaction was?

J.D. Power has released its 2007 Primary Mortgage Origination Study and it includes an interesting historical tidbit: the customer satisfaction ratings that American Home Mortgage got before it went it to bankruptcy in August and shed virtually all its business.

So how did American Home do in the survey? Below average, but not at the total bottom of the heap. This, of course, involved measurement before the company went bankrupt. Countrywide and Washington Mutual, which have also been having all sorts of business troubles, were just above and below American Home, respectively.

Who was #1? Wachovia, followed by SunTrust Mortgage.
